One thing to remember about water is the mechanic ( Tidal ) which empowers certain powers ( orange circle indicates which ones and that they are currently empowered ) This boosts damage. A quick way to build tidal is to lay down whirlpool and a few single target pops will usually be enough. Most of the abilities have decently short timers. I find I can cast several whirlpools in an average fight. My main is a Water Blaster :) I went fire as the secondary because fire, amirite?
"He's being very rude, he should know I want to arrest him." lol. I choked on my coffee when you said that. I used to play the original CoH/CoV when Cryptic studios ran it. I started playing it after it had been out for quite awhile. Highest level I got to was 25 then it was shut down. Really enjoyed your vid on this and the way you commentated it. I happy to subscribe to your channel. Thanks.
Thank you! Might I suggest a video detailing some of the fun / interesting story arcs? I’m currently trying to enjoy the stories from the good old days, but idk where to go after the Hollows lol I’m embarrassed because I have like 4 50s.
Hey, I have 5 50's, so we're in the same boat! But I might just do that! Ouroborous is your friend for catching those story arcs up (see my video on Ouro). Also, it can help to find a group that just wants to run story lines. I made one in our SG and we run villain story lines twice/week. We read it all aloud. Tis fun!
THere sure are! I like the low-level villain ones where you can earn 8 in 15 minutes. We also have Freaklympics on hero side where you can earn 50 in 90 minutes (or less!) . Come join us for fun ouro runs!
Salutations! It's called "Glowie - Music Box" and can be easily downloaded via the City mod installer. Head on over to forums.homecomingservers.com/topic/49175-city-mod-installer-released/
I'm noticing a lot of players not realizing they have access to two character builds. You could do a short vid showing off how to access your second build , and why you might want to use them. 1 optimized for high lvl content, 1 optimized for exemplaring , or for pvp, or just for fun etc.
I might have to do that. To be honest, I never used or look into the feature myself, because it requires two completely different sets of gear. And if I'm going to go through that kind of expense and trouble, I'd rather just have two different characters. That way, I can experience new ATs and powersets while creating that character made for a different purpose.
@@JCServant07 The main reason i use it, is if ive made it 50 and have a character I really enjoy and want to maximize for level 50 content, well those level 50 builds often don't exemplar well, so having a second basic build to use when exemplaring in lower content helps. I don't PvP but i hear others have PVP specific builds as well.
@@Greldek Yeah, it depends. Purple sets exemplar SUPER well... better than normal attuned as purple set bonuses work at all levels. So if you love a toon THAT much and are looking to get a second set...chances are you're just better off going for the gold at that point. Also, lower level content is balanced around lower level characters running SO's. So having a separate set just to get set bonuses so one can be above the curve for those seems like a bit overkill for me. But, I get it. Feeling powerful is fun. I'd just rather use a separate character and try out different ATs and powersets. Having different characters for different content and different group needs is part of the fun of the game IMHO. I don't know of any players myself that only have one character and is as focused as you suggest. How about you? Do you just run one character?
@@JCServant07 For me its mainly some of my 50 builds don't have good attacks once i exemplar. they can be very top heavy power pick wise, and i could be skimping on accuracy or endurance managment to get more power out of a build, while relying on incarnates to make up for it. which don't exemplar either
@@JCServant07 No it is awesome for the loot... I just came bk a few months ago, but was on live. Need to leave a bit after COV. Just got my 2 50, so farm, farm.. Is it me or are controller's missing something? Mine on live was a fire/ice, and could go into combat. Lay fire burn and like ice sheet and watch them burn, you can not do that now days. But please share your fun builds she looks very cool!
Wow I haven’t played this since it came out. The memories of me and my best friend playing together

Whirlpool is soooo gooood. I may create a water sentinel just to have MORE water!
It's been ten years since I played this last, Great to see it back. Thanks for the videos very helpful for new and returning players.
Thank you for that! I hope you enjoy the game!

Showing a cool build while doing a guide is a good idea! Is there a fast mission like this that gives decent reward merits?

actually at 50 you have 3 builds. i generally do 1)attuned for exemplaring, 2)boosted for hardmode/incarnate, and 3) pvp if i want to on that AT
helpful hint for you and others running this arc. the bosses in mission 2 always make a little speech when you approach. kill that mob
I found water blast to be great
So much FUN.
