Why a lot of people in the GTA still prefer driving in bumper to bumper on the QEW to Niagara Falls is a mystery to me

That first bit isn't Lake Ontario, it's Burlington Bay. Lake Ontario is the the other side of the Burlington Canal lift bridge. Not all coaches have power outlets. Only the newer series has them.

First off, cool video.. but you have some errors, the GO train travels on Canadian National tracks, not Canadian Pacific. You also are referring to places like Hamilton as a "town". Hamilton, which on your map is listed as "milton" has over 500,000 people. Your trip passed through 14 cities with a combined population of nearly 11 million people.

Hamilton ain't no town. It's actually a decent sized city.

Slight correction, the Niagara Falls GO Train runs on Canadian National right of way from Aldershot through Hamilton West Harbour and St. Catherines to Niagara Falls. Hamilton Centre which is Canadian Pacific and only is serviced by rush hour GO Trains.

$21 is a good price but it’s even less on weekends and holidays when you can buy a $10.00 day pass.

"Bronte" is actually "BRAHN-tee", two syllables. Don't ask me why but we've got a ton of names like that in Ontario.

My family from Burlington actually named their dog Bronte. Not saying you’re wrong but they pronounced with a different vowel at the end, more like “Brawn-tay”, like how you would pronounce the last name of the Bronte sisters

Not to be TOO nitpicky, but as this is Canada, the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) doesn't apply. There are some similarities, but the standards are different.

On Weekends, they have a $10 day pass. Which comes up to $5 Canadian or $3.66USD to go one way 80 miles (or even further if you are connecting to other lines in the network)

People of Ontario are complaining , that they pay PST , but are not getting the services that the GTA is getting , so they are starting to expand Ontario Government Services .

Its taken GO FOREVER to create this train commuter service.
There is room for improvement, especially on the city of Niagara Falls' side of things,
but its a great start - definitely an improvement over relying on VIA rail.
The GO also has a steady bus service that comes from Toronto to Niagara, but the train seems like a better options all around.

I took the train from Valencia to Madrid in Spain, 400 Km in 1.5 hours at 300 km/hr and cost 25 euros or $37.50 CAD. Canada has no idea what a train service is.

  • @adventureswithpaulandsally5516

Curious to know how far away was the station from your hotel, and was there any transit options or bicycle paths to get there?

Not a fan of sitting in a cramped hard and uncomfortable commuter seats for inter-city transportation.

That is a tad of a too long trip for those seats for me? I’ve taken Via from TO to the Falls before and it was a long trip

It takes about the same amount of time to travel there by car. Yes the train is cheaper, but you are at the train schedule. Then you have to find your own way around town. With the car you can go when you are ready.

It definitely doesnt take 2h 50m to drive from Toronto, it doesn't even take that for me from Durham region, which is further east.

As already commented on , wrong map locations , etc , etc do your homework . Further having lived all my life in Niagara Falls , the falls are not one falls as in your pics . You are showing only one falls there is actually 3 ! So Niagara Falls is 3 falls ! And the best falls is the Canadian Horseshoe Falls . You were right there !! And you chose to IGNORE IT ???? OMG !! I can't believe it . The American Falls ( your pic ) desn't hold a candle to the Horseshoe Falls , not even in the same league !! No one can even argue with what I'm saying , no one . Look at the Horseshoe Falls , as it name implies its in the shape of a horseshoe ! Awesome ! Longer , wider , more water per second by far , no rocks at the base of the falls adds to its majesty !!! If you took a trip on the boats that go to the base of the falls , you'd be BLOWIN AWAY by the majesty of the Horseshoe Falls . And the only way one can see the falls is to come to the Canadian side to see them and then to totally ignore the horseshoe Falls . Unbelieveable !! Yea , I left a thumbs down .
