There's a big update coming tomorrow about camps! There will be essential "small camps" that are weaker than their blueprint counterpart, but available from the start. So you'll be able to harvest any small node resource you see! That's a big reason why I rushed to make this video today 😅 I know I didn't come across many resources I couldn't harvest (I was hoping it would be more challenging in that way), but I hope this challenge is still fun enough to watch!
I imagine you play on Viceroy for these videos so you can have some fun with the content and narration instead of going quiet into a frantic silence as you keep the game afloat. It's probably also much more helpful for newer users (like I was when I found your content) because your strategies will work for them. But what would happen if you played on Prestige 10+ for your videos? Is my guess above right? Or is too high a difficulty level simply unviable for your self-imposed challenges? Maybe high difficult gameplay converges in a boring way? I'm not saying you should play on harder difficulty. I'm only at Prestige 10 so I'm just curious.
Yeah that's pretty much why I play Viceroy. I prefer making shorter videos, and I take a lot longer on Prestige. 😅 And yeah, because P10+ gets more difficult, I feel like I'd lose focus of a particular self-imposed challenge, and instead focus solely on winning, which defeats the purpose of it haha. But we'll see, maybe in the future I'll up the difficulty sometimes!
Hm the only big change is the introduction of small camps, so I’m not really sure it’s worth making a small vid for it 😅 but I’ll think of an idea that will incorporate it next video!
You always make it look like its super easy, while in Viceroy I always kinda struggle with food management, even though I played a total of like 10 rounds so I'd say it's cool
If you're having this trouble at Viceroy, it just sounds like you aren't opening Dangerous Glades often enough. They have big stockpiles of food resources. Even on Prestige 10 (my highest difficulty so far) I tend to open up a Dangerous Glade immediately which gives me enough food to work on for a while as well as resources I can trade. Also, farms are an easy way to keep food coming in on maps with fertile soil.
Dan’s advice is great, and also I am max level so I have a bit of an advantage there 😅 When I start I like to focus on one complex food that both species would enjoy, because potentially 4 raw food can make 10 complex food. So I try not to have them eat any raw food at all. If I have trouble with gathering resources, I’d instead focus on trading and gaining amber to buy food instead 😅
