Pink Floyd(audio) April 23-27, 1975 L.A. Sports Arena(a record 511 "busts" for Mayor Tom Bradley!)

My 18th birthday present was a concert ticket to see Pink Floyd given to me from my sweet little sister Ann(Bunny) and her boyfriend Gene. More than 500 Pink Floyd fans were arrested between April 23-27, 1975 during the concerts at the Los Angeles Sports Arena. We three survived. We had seats way up at the rooftop seating rim section, the worse place to be in case of an angry, smoky fire, and the tickets only cost $7.50. Seconal and Colt 45/Country Club Malt Liquor was invited along with us and my army jacket held our pot secure at the door frisking also. Gene drove us there in his borrowed Datsun 240Z... me packed and cramped in the rear storage compartment. Now, I must still wonder, did Gene drop that last red on purpose so I'd take eight, instead of seven? They introduced "Wish You Were Here" and played DSOTM entirely... but this recording must have not been on that night we had went. Well, it's all gone now... the L.A. Sports Arena is now the Staple's Center. History. Gotta love it, eh?
