- Stability.ai Founder Emad Mostaque, along with CNBC's Steve Kovach and Deirdre Bosa, joins 'The Exchange' to discuss open versus closed source data sets for A.I. modeling, the copyright questions behind A.I. image creation, and transparency in A.I. modeling.
I trust him more than Sam Altman. Emad is creating open source AI, he is for the people (at least for now)

@@tomlangan990 Emad is a fraud. He has a long history of taking credit for other people's work, habitually lies and exaggerates. Even the algorithm that made his company famous is not his invention, he stole it from researchers in Germany.

@@ramblings4201 what ? it is still Open and the recent launch of SDXL model is just super amazing.
Better than any other previous models.
Also they are working on LLM like ChatGPT, only downside is LLMs require very high VRAM which is kind of unavailable for Consumer yet (96GB approx).
Till then we have to use Quantisized version that can run on GPU with 24GB or less VRAM, thus the quality is not that high.

What's the difference between pixels and words on a page or colors on paper? You obviously don't care because you want to be the "thief" in the equation and not the "owner". If the equation was flipped, you'd be angry that your hard work was stolen.

@@badpuppy3 i think you dont know how copyright works. if the ai creates something that someone already made then yes they should pay or whatever. but so far i have never seen art piece that was the same as the original artwork.
