Great Buck`s, and I gotta say your Video`s are getting better and better, your showing so much detail of the surroundings and the landscape, it feels like a guy is walking behind you. Keep up the good work.
present my brother greetings healthy always. from the electrical world. Even though it's a different hobby, your video really entertains my mind after work. Continued success together👌👌👌
Sam, right on man! I was waiting for a new upload! Congrats on the beautiful bucks. Tried out my fawn in distress call this late rifle buck season, not bucks or does charging in unfortunately...But saw some Does and lots of Elk! Onto next season!
I really enjoy your videos. I was on the island in July fishing and I'm currently planning a deer hunt for August 2021. Your island is one of my favorite places on this earth.
POW is the only place I've seen blacktail that tine off like whitetail do, normally they fork like mule deer. But for some reason that rule doesn't apply on POW or Kosi.
Excellent videos! It's that time of year again and best of luck to you. I subbed and can't wait for more. Thanks for not adding a bunch of worthless music.
Thank you ! I’m not a tech savvy person really so I’m really trying to make these enjoyable for everyone . It’s pretty difficult videotaping this by yourself I’ll tell you that ! I’m glad you liked it
Awesome, bucket list hunt for myself. Do you have any recommendation for a DYI hunt? Outfitter who can drop off and pick up? Thanks. Enjoyed the video!
Thanks 🙏🏻 It really depends on when you want to hunt. Early season hunts you can fly out to more remote places and the weather cooperates more. During Fall, not so much. There’s a handful of places here that you can stay, where it’s a DIY hunt. I always recommend Thorne Bay Lodge. www.thornebaylodge.com
The Black-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus columbianus) is one of three extant deer species within the genus Odocoileus (Modern Nearctic Deer), the others being the Mule Deer (Odocoileus hemionus) and the White-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus), there are two extant subspecies of black-tailed deer, the Columbian Black-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus columbianus columbianus) and the Sitka Black-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus columbianus sitkensis), the Black-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus columbianus) is most closely related to the White-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) while the Mule Deer (Odocoileus hemionus) is basal to both.
Great video, found your page last week been binge watching. Curious if you know anyone using these calls in the Pacific North West, Washington/Oregon for our black tail. I was trying to purchase one but their all sold out.
Thank you ! I used the calls in Washington down in the Elma area and had a nice buck come to it . I don’t know why they aren’t used really at all down there
How often do you get bears coming in to the call? I shot a but years ago that afterwards I couldn't hear but was evidently crying out and that called in a pack of coyotes on the run.
Thanks for watching ! I’ve only had one black bear come in after a shot and I’m not 100% it came to the spine of the shot. It’s not as common as further up north where there’s brown bears. They definitely come to the sound of a gun shot up there.
Is your hunting partner prior USMC? The MARPAT camo seems perfect for the woods up here. How’d he like using his camo for the season? I always thought about doing the same but the wet weather makes it hard not to use anything but rain gear.
Nope he was never in the military, that’s actually my brother. I gave him some from when I was in. They don’t work good for wet weather at all like You kinda already knew. They’re fine for cold dry weather as long as you’re layered for it
Thanks buddy... your video are awesome... I dont know if this call is going to work in California but hey I'll try anything... thanks again and keep up with the videos... awesome
Beautiful buck, loved how after the 1st shot he was still nosing for the doe :-) not a care in the world :-) great job guys!
Yea he was definitely in love
I love how real that is. No bullshit just raw blacktail footage. Good work

Great videos! I just did this for the first time in Sitka this year now I’m completely obsessed.
How’d you do?
It was nice to see you and brother hunting together. Great job on the video!
Thanks Steve!
Great video man I like how it turned out I had a great time over there with you can’t wait until next year.

Great video as always... that first one was a stud!
Thank you! I’m glad it worked out the way it did for him. It’s just as fun watching others get deer
That’s some awesome footage and awesome memories made there, nice work and congratulations again bro!
Thanks Amos.
I learned something from watching your videos. Thanks

@@Sitka_Blacktail_Hunter Thank you so much Sam. I will certainly do that.
I like how you give respect to the animals sacrifice. Good job guys!!
This looks so fun...that first setup WOW that was crazy. My heart was pounding and that never happens with UA-cam hunts. Subscribed
Thank you ! It’s even more exciting when you are there ! Calling these deer in is probably the coolest hunting I’ve ever done
Great video.
Thank you 🙏
You ready Sam…It’s almost time! 👊🏻
You know it ! I’ll be out there this weekend poking around 🤞🏻
Should be there tomorrow evening…👊🏻🏹

@@Sitka_Blacktail_Hunter i have a pile of sheds that anyone would swear are whitetail, but they're all Sitka bucks

I’m glad you enjoyed them Steve. I’m going to put my latest alpine hunt together with this years rut, and some wolf trapping.
@@Sitka_Blacktail_Hunter Wolf trapping would be of great interest. Thanks!
@@Sitka_Blacktail_Hunter How much does a good blacktail buck weigh in that part of the world? Thanks.
I’ve seen them up to 200 lbs in the rut. The last buck I got a couple weeks ago I brought home 70lbs of meat so I was pretty happy
@@Sitka_Blacktail_Hunter Wow. 70 lbs. of blacktail meat would be heaven on earth. It's my favorite of all the big game.

Awesome video!!! What mane and caliber is the short barreled rifle in this video?
Remington model 700 sps .308
What is the call named! I might have to try that around here in Washington
You should do a trophy room tour.

I’ve seen a lot of Sitka blacktail that remind me of whitetail.
