Alright, first time I get to comment on one of these while actually owning the game. Should be helpful. Anyway, edits and spoilers lie below 3:08 I've taken to swapping out the rifle for the smoke grenade launcher module. It only has 4 shots and is really inaccurate, but precision doesn't matter much and it's range is really good. 7:55 Grenades are amazing, include the HEVY launcher grenades. They're very reliable ways to deal with cloaks, and you can chuck them over cover to get away from reaction fire. HEVY in particular can fire like halfway across the map, over buildings, and don't care about intervening anything. They are artillery and I love them. I've also started taking medkits away from my riflemen (because they're really heavy and they need to carry more grenades) and giving them to assaults (who don't really need a pistol or a stun stick) who have the carry capacity and are more likely to get shot anyway 13:57 Fleshpocket has 24 TU left over after firing, so he is able to move around a bit to get firing lines. 19:00 Glory to random pistol civilian. 21:30 Could have smoked the door. Covers any aliens coming out for a few turns while you get into position, then goes away. Mostly. 26:10 GLORY TO RANDOM PISTOL CIVILIAN. Also it's another thing for the aliens to shoot at that isn't you, so yay? 27:20 The roll for reaction fire is based primarily on %TU remaining, so crouching and stuff makes reaction shots a lot less likely 29:20 Yuck. That last turn was rough. Not much to be done, RIP and move on. 32:05 I feel like the corpse research on anything that isn't a Sebillian (and maybe some other things) isn't worth it. Most everything else is squishy enough that +15% damage isn't that important. Get. The. Dragonfly. 12 guys instead of 9, and 2 MARS units, is a massive power spike 34:38 Pretty sure that's a thing. Not going to say more on that I think. Turn the fighters around and fight the retaliation, I think. That's either a terror mission or a base attack, and either way you want to not have it happen, even if your fighters die.
I want to like this game but there are a few nagging issues. You get so little money that you end up with the exact same three bases in the exact same spots, because there is no other strategy. At no point do you EVER have enough planes, with range and performance. Only three planes can attack anyway. The air battles follow the same pattern. The tech advance has no tech tree with different strategies offered. As you advance, of course, the aliens just get more powerful until you have a Secton with 200 armour and a cannon. Bases end up all the same and cost so much in upkeep that you end up with no income every month. I like a challenge but your best soldier often gets one shotted from 1km away, no matter what armour they have. Basic equipment doesn't exist. A camera drone. Night vision. Sorry to seem negative, I just wish the game had some more new tactics.
@@papalaz4444244 Well, good news for you papalaz. I'm trying to make my own Xcom like with some friends and willing to listen to feedback for once. Maybe with a little mutual help, our dreams can come true.
1. Anders is my favorite and I hope they survive until the end since they been around from the beginning.
2.RECURITE THAT CIVILIAN!
The civilian: «I am not trapped in this saucer full of aliens. You are all trapped in here with ME (and xenonauts team)»
35:36 yes. act fast. send interceptors to patrol areas which your radar does not cover to discover them

I was pleasantly surprised to see T-1001 lasting more than 1001 seconds. Good job! :)
Civilian exercised his 2nd Amendment right 😂
Enlist that civilian right away! He got great bravery and decent accuracy.
that civilian reminds me of a security guard npc in one of my xenonauts 1. games he only had a shotgun and wrecked 3 androns. absolute legend
Texas Ranger showed them the big iron on his hip
The Cube base deseves The Rectangle
Anders should of thrown a flash bang at the two Wraiths at the very beginning of the mission.
woo, more xenonauts!
Name recommendation for new recruit: "Texas Civilian"
(not 100% sure looks like the border between Texas and Lousiana)
Could you try playing Frostpunk?
Why, why must Xenonauts always insist on text sizes that make me want to claw my eyes out....
For the dropship name how about Stryker

keep in mind this is an older build and the game is still in "early access"
@@FireFlanker1 I know that and I have played Milestone 4. It's fine but it still has every problem I have suggested.
This game seems really rough around the edges. I tried it but couldn't get into it.

@@DepressedHandsomeSpaceCop What seems to be the issue beyond what has already been spoken here spacecop? perhaps they'll be ironed out one day.
Its the sound a bit low or is just me?
The volume I mean.
Is this game a finalized product or still in-construction?
It's still in early access, I think they are planning one more big content update and then start working on polish for release.
@@Phrosphor They really should've completed it before releasing it, I rather to see a finalized work.
“Retaliation mission” Gulp. RIP Doomslug, an always reliable and effective ‘naut 😢🫡💪🏾🎖
