    also more tips on other solutions that may work, if non of the blow steps work then this video may help out.
    ● Step 1. Make sure the power adapter is unplugged from the notebook, but still plugged into the wall socket.
    ● Step 2. Hold down the power button for exactly 10 seconds
    ● Step 3. While still holding down the power button, plug the power cable in, and keep holding the button until it comes on.
    👉✖ If the above result didn't work after waiting 10 more seconds, try this the following:
    ● Step 1. Open the bottom of your Notebook with a tiny screw driver
    ● Step 2. Take out 1 memory stick
    ● Step 3. Try and power it on, and if that didn't work, put that memory stick back and then take out the other memory stick if you have one.
    👉✖ Resetting NVRAM:
    ● Step 1. Completely shut down your computer.
    ● Step 2. Using the built-in keyboard (laptops only), find the Command, Option, P, and R keys and get ready to press all of them.
    ● Step 3. Power on your computer and press all of the keys mentioned above (⌘+⌥+P+R)
    ● Step 4. Continue holding these keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the boot tone again.
    ● Step 5. Release the keys.
    ✖Once the computer has powered on, you will have to reconfigure most of the settings inside System Preferences as they have been reset.
    👉✖ Resetting the SMC
    ● Step 1. Shut down the computer completely.
    ● Step 2.Plug in your AC adapter and make sure it’s delivering power.

    Best explanations of removing CABLES: pull back, slide, lift up etc etc . . . so many cables have been ruined by merely tugging the wrong way! THANKS!

    Thanks so much! Honestly, I was overwhelmed by the amount of ribbon cables, screws, and soldering, that I just tried using a can of air without disconnecting anything. That got my MBP going!

    Where did you buy the power bottom replacement?

  • @mindfulawareness1

    I like this tutorial. I have the same Mac and it fails to boot despite SMC, PRAM and all that. The only thing is the little light at the front does come on. So there is power. All that thermal paste business and heating the chips to 180C would be completely new territory for me. However I don't have anything to lose.

    Do you mean to tell me you have an actual reflow station for working on motherboards and you're instructing people to use hair dryers?

    • @uFixTek
      @uFixTek  Рік тому +1

      Yes, that is correct. That's why it is called DIY (Do-It-Yourself). Otherwise, I would have made a video on how to prepare for a laptop repair shop visit, if I wanted people to buy a reflow station just to fix a motherboard. I could have made a training video to guide them in using it. However, it's not worth it, my friend. Using a hair dryer can achieve the same results.

    • @ChrisTallant
      @ChrisTallant Рік тому

      @@uFixTek a hair dryer doesn’t get nearly hot enough to melt the solder underneath a chip. Even with decent flux, it doesn’t have the air speed or heat.

    • @uFixTek
      @uFixTek  Рік тому +1

      Alright, let me correct and clarify a few points:
      Okay, you don't need excessive heat or airflow to melt the solder. It's a simple physics principle.
      There are multiple factors involved, but first, it's essential to understand why we perform reflow. The reason is that there is a cracked solder joint that is not making proper contact with the board. This means that the board is not absorbing heat from that specific joint. Consequently, that joint will melt before any other solder joint or balls, as proven under a microscope.
      To address your initial concern about not enough heat, it's important to note that there is sufficient heat, and it is achieved over a period of time. Heat applied consistently over time leads to melting.
      To simplify, imagine holding an apple with your arm extended in front of you. Initially, it doesn't feel heavy. However, if you keep holding it for 10 minutes, you will start feeling its weight. The same concept applies here. We are not removing the BGA chip; we are solely targeting the single detached solder joint. With enough heat from a hair dryer and regular airflow, you can successfully reflow the single detached solder, without the need for reballing.
      I hope this clarifies the process of reflowing the solder joint.
      What I am saying and doing is based on my extensive experience of over 17 years in laptop, console, and electronics repair, backed by a professional degree in the field.

    Whislt this is an interesting 'tear down' its NOT fix for the black screen boot issue on a MAC. The first problem (from the off) is that there is no rationale expalnation as to why any of this may be relevant to your own issues with your Mac. i'd recommned a Mac service repair centre. They won't use tin foil. besides.. we never did see the Mac re-boot sucessfully.

    • @uFixTek
      @uFixTek  4 роки тому +12

      it is a fix, one of the reasons for the no boot and black screen.
      The Foil Tape its a perfect solution to this, to isolate heat from other components , you'r are not fixing it with foil tape!, you isolating the side components!
      i been repairing macbooks and other electronics for past 14 years and if this solution has saved my clients the amount of $$$ that mac repair center charge them, and makes them be able to use the equipment.
      as i mentioned this is one of many many reasons for the no boot and no screen. if i get a different macbook that results in different reson for the no boot or black screen i will post.
      the reasons could follow:
      #1. BAD/Dry/cracked solder joints under GPU/CPU (as this video)
      #2. Bad ram memory
      #3. bad SMC config
      #4. shot circuit on components and many other reasons.
      so before you jump to conclusion and think that this method is not the one for you ask and investigate.
      good luck
