I’m listening to In the Dark, a podcast about the Jacob Wetterling case, and they mention what Sylvia Browne said to his parents. She said he was abducted by a group of men, taken out of state and held for weeks, then stabbed and beaten to death, and that his body was disposed of in water. Now, since he was abducted at gunpoint, wouldn’t the safer bet be to “predict” death by shooting? That’s what I would have “predicted,” had I been her. 27 years later, Jacob’s abductor/murderer (singular) led police to where he buried Jacob, which was a gravel pit about a half hour away from Jacob’s house. He had taken Jacob to the gravel pit, shot him dead within about an hour of abducting him, and buried him there in the same night. The only fact she got right was that Jacob was dead, but given that studies have shown that in stranger abductions of children, 76% of the time the child was dead within three hours of the abduction, increasing to 88.5% dead within 24 hours of the abduction, that was pretty much a given.

The Twin Towers did have to contain a lot of water and piping for bathrooms on every single floor of each building, so I feel like it could be possible that he was trapped in rubble and drowned from that water. They also used a ton of water to spray on the rubble to find people, so although you wouldn't normally think of someone drowning from the Twin Tower collapses, I feel like it could be possible.
