    I love that you're doing this. I absolutely love it. You're not only showing how to do it with an injury, but showing that it can be done. Well done.

      Hey thanks a lot!!! I really appreciate that! But now you can see why I want an actual solo for just myself. I love this 133 for us but on my own it's a little heavy

      @@HalfPaceOutdoors I'm curious, is there a certain way to have to board the canoe?

    • @HalfPaceOutdoors
      @HalfPaceOutdoors  5 років тому +1

      @@RussellVineyard not really. Thats fairly straight forward for me. Just swing one leg at a time and so far I've never been in an instance where I could board while still "landed" and shove off.

      Hey thanks for checking it out!!! I really wanted to get a better review video of the canoe done this year but just never made time to do it.

      Hey thanks!!! This is what I love to do so I figured the handicapped crowd could use a rep in the woods!

    I appreciate the demonstration. I have one of these but haven't taken it out yet.

    Thanks for the demo Zach. My camo 133 just got delivered the other day and i'm taking it out on the maiden voyage this Saturday. Watching you wrangle the exact same canoe on and off your rig is very helpful. I bought a canoe trolley with pneumatic wheels so i might play around with strapping it on somehow to assist with loading/unloading. I know the canoe is pretty durable, but i'd like to avoid slamming and dragging the gunwale tips over concrete (at the boat launch). Back at home no biggie on the grass.

      It's only 78 pounds most untrained people can deadlift 150 pounds.

    That’s awesome. Thanks for sharing. I wasn’t sure if i could get it up myself, but maybe can the same way you did.

      It takes a little practice but it's not too bad. I've spent the last two weeks in this canoe filming the 1 yr anniversary trip

    Great video! I am considering between this or a touring kayak for long trips down flat water rivers!

      I would highly suggest the Discovery 133 for touring down rivers. It's an amazing little canoe!

    Dude that's pretty much how I load my old town discovery 15 sport but on a little Mazda 3 my back injury is no where near as bad as yours looks. But it absolutely kills me to load and unload it I couldn't imagine trying to load it on a SUV as tall as yours my hats off to you pale

    • @HalfPaceOutdoors
      @HalfPaceOutdoors  3 роки тому +1

      Gotta get it done! Thank you! I think the Mazda would definitely be easier hahaha I just got a trailer at the beginning of summer but as I'm about to get ready to start modifying it, we decided to move.

    Thanks for the inspiration. I was thinking I would be limited to a Discovery 119 for solo use. Do you paddle your Discovery 133 solo and, if so, how does it do?

    • @HalfPaceOutdoors
      @HalfPaceOutdoors  4 роки тому

      Through that whole video I paddle solo. I always solo it. Turn it backwards and sit in the front seat 😂 it's does great! I absolutely love this canoe!
