You only have to switch out the reactor when that pops up, but there are a couple mods now that allow you to fly class M ships. Shipyard unrestricted with cheat engine helps with other issues.

You have to rebuild every time you switch to it since you can't have piloting skill to select it. It has to already be your home ship before adding any m class parts.
@@ryanmattison2044 OK. Thanks! So as long as its your home ship, you can close out the game after playing a session and resume it later in that M class ship. You just can't change ship otherwise you'll need to rebuild it. I think that is the take home from this.
Yeah, sorry. I noticed after the fact. I could do better editing and proofreading, I'm not a pro, just a guy trying to get the word out. But thanks for the feedback, I'll try to do better in any future videos.
Sadly that massive chunk at the back is the only engine to get top speed and maneuverability, you can build a bigger ship around that engine and it looks better, but for the purpose of easily demonstrating the concepts, this setup is easier.
@@ryanmattison2044 I get it. I would think whoever created the mod would have made the part/parts with a little more creativity. If thats the best engine option it thats a shame. Hopefully as time goes on better options become available
@@fragginbastich7307 yeah, this is currently using assets that are already in the game. Maybe we'll get better options once the creation kit comes out. Or modders will build their own stuff. Time will tell
