Thanx to you vid I was able to finally remove the back cover.. I was holding it wrong bc you have to kind of push in the middle to get the lower part to open first.

You can remove the battery. Theres a few metal clips that attach to mother board

Are the comments prepaid too? Because I've had this phone for 6 days and still cannot remove back plate. My neighbors about 4 and I have resulted in a failure not to mention a couple of sisters. This is ridiculous. What a waste of money.

There is no little groove

Couldn't open it with fingernail. It took a big screwdriver and a lot of prying. Scratched the plastic cover. That's what happens when you get a free phone from gove😊rnment's Lifeline

Mine is too tough to pop off as well. Bent my thumbnail. Ouch. Ended up turning off the phone, holding it by the top right corner and bottom left corner and just used a screwdriver to pry it open.
