THANK YOU! This video is still useful in 2021. I just dropped my Samsung cellphone on the floor. Face down. It's screen is completely shuttered. Dead. So I searched for my old Samsung and found it in a drawer. The emails showed that it has been sitting there since 2017. The battery - amazingly! - woke up and charged. I gotta give Samsung a golden star for that. Again. (I am a graphic designer, I am used to work on Macs, but regarding the cellphones I am on the Samsung's side.) I retrieved the cards from the broken Samsung cellphone and - thanks to your video - I managed to insert them in the old one.
Helped me greatly. The vendor's video said nothing about needing to pop it out even further to get the nano size and didn't show things clearly. Thank you!
I know im randomly asking but does anyone know of a way to get back into an Instagram account? I stupidly forgot my account password. I love any help you can offer me.
My goodness, you are such a good teacher. I just got an Artfone C182 and astonishingly, it comes with no instructions for battery and SIM insertion. Your second example shows what to do. Thanks.
Just spent about two hours trying to follow an official Assurance Wireless SIM card replacement video (an animation! a cartoon, for crying out loud!). Admittedly I'd never changed a SIM card before, had never even pried open a cell phone case, and the last major technological challenge I mastered was learning to program my Betamax VCR to record shows when I wasn't around, but I didn't expect this SIM card replacement to cause me such grief. Then I happened across this My Mate VINCE video, and 15 minutes later my phone is happy and so am I. As others point out below, this video presents concise but thorough instruction in such a clear way that one hardly notices that she's learned something useful.
My Mate Vince is a prince among men. He solved a problem for me that I spent days trying to figure out with the help of online tech support, but he solved very siimply.
Thank you, really helped me-saved my life, saved me a lot of time. Was concise and easy to understand, sounded very patient and genuinely wanted us to understand.
Thank you. My first cellphone. The written instructions left me confused. But thank you for your relaxed voice. And for explaining the different SIM cards.
Thanks "my mate vince" I have been trying to figure out how to insert the correct sim card into a BLU tank 2 T194 for several days and getting nowhere. The sim is in one of those variety packs from qlink. I watches several videos on UA-cam that afforded me -0- help and actually made me feel even "more stupid" at the end than I felt at the beginning. I am 74 and new to a lot of tech stuff but determined to do for myself as much as I can before asking for help from my family who don't want to teach me anything but just want to grab the device and fix the problem and hand it back. Granted I am a slow learner with some things but by no means "stupid" just ignorant of some things. Your method of teaching is very refreshing, kind and thorough and I thank you.
Thank you soooooooooo much for this explanation. THIS was exactly what I needed to figure out what exactly to do for my new phone. (My cell phone company chat-help was NO help and just told me to find a local store, which they are always rude and seldom of any real help. ugh I really need to switch carriers. Can you hear me now? lol) THANKS TO YOU, I was able understand and install the nano-sim version and my cell phone is up and running now. Yay!!
This is the best video I have watched. Perfect instructions for a non-techy senior. Well articulated and accurate. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I am new to the last phone you demonstrated on, and I confidentally installed the SIM card myself.
Thank you so much for this help. I spent hours on chat with tech about the SIM card with no luck getting my new phone to work. Not even once did he mention about placing it with the notch as indicated. Many blessings!
OMG! I just bought a Telstra Essential Pro with NO MANUAL!! Couldnt see anywhere that would show me....till I saw this...OMG Thanks so much Vince! This was EXACTLY what I needed....now I can get on and activate my phone.....phew! xxxxx
Thank you. Excellent job! Even though my LG UN170 doesn't have a sim card, I thoroughly enjoyed your video. You have the skills to describe techniques in a clear and cogent manner.
Vince, thank you so much for this video, The phones arrived along with the SIM cards (not pressed out) but I could not get the SIM to fit. As a Micro, it was too large, as a Nano it fell through the tray. I was on the phone with the carrier (where I bought the phones), and the CS had no clue. Turns out it was like your last phone, and I had to use the back part of the SIM tray. I had no idea there were SIM trays that took both SD & SIMs -- nor did the CS person! I am so relieved to find someone who knows what he is doing. You are a life saver. Thank you.
None were my models but after I learned how to get the back off and reseated the battery, all was right. Gave me time to get a back-up for the day it does bite the dust.THANK-YOU ever so much!
Thanks! From your video, I learned which way to reinsert SIM card. Found the little diagram etched/stamped into the phone plastic near the SIM tray on my phone. (I have an older phone which reuquired me to open back of phone to access SIM tray).
Thank you, excellent visual and audio "script," and your presentation as well. I watched 6 or more videos before yours, but only yours showed how to push the nano sim out of the 3-in-1 card backing. First time I have installed a SIM, also installed SD card, phone is now ready to activate.
Thanks for your very helpful video. The last smartphone you demonstrated is the kind I bought, so I'm glad I watch your video as I'm used to removing the back covers
Brilliant! I didn't realise that the Nano SIM was actually within the Micro SIM shape, was struggling to understand how I get the micro one from previous phone into my new phone that needs the nano size. Many thanks.
I was having trouble getting the SIM card to slide in and now i know why. The size of the SIM card was one size too big. I took off the size and it slid right in. Thanks man.
Looking for advice too .Recommended thick special cellotape press finger down many time open slot apparently sim will emerge, gentle bring it opening .Didn't work for me then I had afterthought pr tweezers gently grip tip or edge of sim which is easest be careful .Hope it works for you best solution. WIshes best luck 🎉
Excellent, thank you. You explained which way to put it in. Mine did not have a tray, put it in right but kept saying no sim?? Then I seen how you can get 3 different sizes from 1 sim. So went thru it all again, and noticed my card it came in still had the pop outs. What happened was I put a nano in a micro and it didn't work. Popped it back in the outer rim I still had and it works fine. Thank you, love doing things myself.
Thank You so much!!! 3 days I've been trying. Sad but true. Never had issues before til now. Saw this video & Bingo!! You nailed it!! Thanks again. Going to share your sight w my friends. 👏🏻🎉🙋🏻♀️
yes I thank you for your video it saved me a lot, I was ready to give up until I found your video. Thank you for this Video it was the only one I saw that showed how to put the sim card in the same device as I had.

Thank you so very much for your help with this ' duh ' process.. lol.. I've had this phone for a couple of weeks and couldn't figure how to or even Where the sim card was. Because it didn't have the little hole w oblong thingy for sim n by all means of looking..didn't have a removable backside.. but then u n your video... 100% ♡♡
Thanks a lot. I've had the same i-phone for many years; I guess it came with its sim pre-installed 'cause I never had to mess with it. When I finally got a new phone I was totally sim-illiterate!
I love your video! New subscriber! I went to walmart today and the worker didnt have that Sd card opener. She used a pin with a white ball on top and it worked! Great video!
Thank you so much. This video really helped my problem. Just got a Logic Model Z5. Thanks to the beginning understood the structure of the nano, micro and the standard SIM card. The section from 4:20 was the main reason for the thanks though. Helped me a lot as I said before. Life saver.
Does a gold part of the SIM card go towards the screen or to the back of the phone because you had the phone upside down basically with the screen facing away so that's my question does the gold part face away from the screen it would have to I would think but since you did it backwards that's what you should add the screen facing the people so they can actually see which way that's green the card goes in but very good thank you very much for what you've done
I have a Q link phone, Called a Hot pepper, its powered by android and it's was free for me I leaned how to remove the cover and the battery but the sim card is way smaller than what you have shown on your video's so maybe mine doesn't need a new one I'm confused. loved your video you taught me several things thank you so much I will contact Q link.

That helped me too but my card says- Do not touch the gold part. This guy has his hand all over them.
2 hours and I failed. Then I found your video and 2 minutes it was in! You're my hero..
From Minnesota, USA.. 😆😅
