Hi there I live in Hollywood and something you might like to know is that the big room that reminded you of the haunted castle was actually where the very first Academy award ceremony was held
This is such an insult to Marylin's legacy - old withered sofas and chairs, a plain looking bathroom. I would have expected something much more glamorous.
Yet, could those be the original furnishings in Marilyn's suite? If so, I say, by all means keep them as so much else has changed. Leather can be refurbished. In general, what people think of as "Hollywood" is fake today and only maintained to trap tourists into coming around and spending money. I lived in LA many years ago and it was fake back then. Oh, well, the old dream is fun.
I'm sorry but for the rates you're paying, you need to get housekeeping managers involved and/or hotel managers to address some of these issues. Especially like not being able to get TV to work, no sugar/creamer, etc. Those are basic items! I hope you note the wear and overall uncleanliness on your online review. Yes! I’ve only ever briefly been in the front lobby back in maybe 2011. I love the Mid Century Modern “updates” from the time combined with some of the modern contemporary touches all not interfering with the original original 1927 grandeur from the likes of the front entrance. Being in the heart of Hollywood Blvd, it makes sense why all the special rooms have locked doors. Which really is unfortunate. Though, I don’t know if anyone can just enter the front doors like we used to be able to? I’m blessed to get Pink’s when the Orange County Fair comes around. That way I don’t have to go to L.A. every time I want not just any hot dog…but an iconic hot dog. Pink’s really is The Most!

Hi tim it's Sunday evening just watched your video and that Marilyn mornoe suite you stayed in looked cool can't wait to watch your next video love from Michelle in Nottingham 😊😅😂❤❤❤
The Hollywood Tower of Terror Disney ride (which sadly has been modified and the haunted hotel theme is gone) was actually based on the Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. If you haven't already, you should definitely check it out. The pool at the Biltmore is absolutely stunning - totally like a Hollywood movie set. The Marilyn Monroe suite at the Roosevelt is certainly a bit of a disappointment quality wise and no, I would not pay that kind of money for it lol! Chateau Marmont is another spooky celebrity hideaway worth checking out - also pricey. Great video Tim - thank you!
Funny to say, but it seems like they try to keep the Marilyn Monroe suite authentic. Which would mean that it's up to the specs and luxury of the 50's. Which would also mean that it's kept in the old times. So maybe other suites would be more luxurious than this one for a lower price. Booking this one, you will spend more, but you will get less than other luxury suites. Just for the nostalgia...
Next in California: The Parker in Palm Springs/ The Ojai Valley Hotel in Ojai/ Hotel St. Francis in San Francisco/ L’Auberge in Carmel by the Sea/ The Hotel Del Coronado in Coronado. 🌸🌸🌸 Love your channel!
Cheers Tim, enjoyed that. Marilyn, actually had her FIRST ever professional photo shoot by the hotel’s pool. The mural on the pool’s floor, was painted by famous British artist David Hockney. We stayed there in 2007, and it appears to have changed little in that time, other than they’ve removed the Hollywood wording on the sign. My late Mother, reckoned that the hotel was dimly lit, to allow clandestine meetings amongst the rich and famous. 👍🏼

Monroe was long dead 50 years ago!
Hi tim it's Sunday evening just watched your video and that Marilyn mornoe suite you stayed in looked cool can't wait to watch your next video love from Michelle in Nottingham 😊😅😂❤❤❤
I stayed there many times. It’s my favorite hotel . During the pandemic they had room rates for $150. That’s as a great deal .
Great video as always 🙌🏻🤍
That price was ridiculous especially since the furniture was worn down, the fridge dented, no creamer or sugar. Ain't no way I would stay there.
If you want cream or sugar you probably have to pay for it.😅
Nice go of it. Great room. Nice pool 🐾🍀
Exited to watch, tim!
hope you enjoyed :-)
Tim , the shower 6 ? If im there go for 4 im a big gal 😮😂😂
As Bette Davis said - “what a dump!”
Hi Tim loved this video was wondering if you would like to check out Aysgarth lodges in Yorkshire they’re luxury holiday lodges with hot tubs 😊
Evian......spell it backwards 😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
As always,good stuff, Tim 🎉
Good night from singapore. I watched ur upload before going to bed. 00:29
Looking forward to the next one.
That couch is unacceptable, in my opinion.
Thanks, Tim for another great review. I will never stay there, but I enjoy the tours and look around. You are appreciated for your hard work :)
Tim , next time just call housekeeping for milk and sugar 😊
Hiya Tim. Good advice. For others using the hotel. Ref parking.
Great video.
I hope you are feeling better.
