enroll on a Friday afternoon. You will get a list of all your classes and requirements for each one and spend a good bit of the weekend getting all of that done. Then the weekdays are easy and you can enjoy the student life a bit. Your exams and final day of term will by a friday and you have your exams and then the results and your next batch of classes and term requirements. I always do 4 classes a term and have done it with multiple sims at once. I often do three core subjects and add a fun elective like a musical instrument class or something like that. An A+ with a distinguished degree will see your sim start their career at level 8.
@@mamaloba1 I was just about to add the part about starting at level 8. Getting all your homework done in the middle of the week (and in general) is much more do-able if you send your sim off with some Potions of Plentiful Needs (Realm of Magic) or as a vampire that had the perks that remove certain needs or with the rewards traits that lower need decay. I also like to make a club for the skill and homework boosts, and call it the "study group". They meet at the library because it's got the trait that also boosts homework completion.
This might now help me as I’ve finally got two of mine in uni (they twins but have an amazing bond they went to different ones the first time they separated)
The Research & Debate skill is always useful. For example, it allows your Sim to finish their homework faster. DO NOT ever get your Sim to live on campus. They'll always be late for their courses.
And if you go to britchester you can take a research and debate elective. It's really good to take in the first semester as you'll build the skill from schoolwork/class There is a bug right now thpigh where any boosts to task completion speed don't really work. The completion circle will fill faster but then it'll just stay at 100% until the normal completion time has passed
I wish real life uni were as in the sims 4… This information of skills to enter in distinguished degrees is so useful… i wish i had this info before because for months i searched for it and could not find it
Perfecting timing! The child of tiger parenting sims just aged up into a teen! As much as I’ve been to university in the sims, I still didn’t know much about how it worked. Thanks Petey!
In real life, when I was a freshman in college, and picking out classes, my advisor was like, "Yeah, no. That's too many classes; you'll make yourself crazy." So I guess it's the same in the Sims.
I just recently learned that a parent sim with a degree can call their connections and get their applying sim child a better chance of being accepted for distinguished degrees. my sim, with minimal skill, became eligible for all distinguished degrees at both schools.
Thanks, Petey! This was great! I have a question for you. You know how there is a Mixology Degree if you attend 10 mixology classes? Well, are there any other "hidden" degrees like that? I figured you'd be sure to know or find out. Thanks again!
Such a good question Charlee! I think the Mixology one is the only hidden one, however i'm pretty sure reaching the top of the soccer or e-sports team also lets you get a significant headstart in a career. That being said it's not quite the same.
I was about to ask the same for Sit On Skill Class, I wonder if taking class for any other skills like cooking can gain sim a certificate and higher career start like the mixology one
I’m not 100% if this is true or not, but I think the 8 class requirement only applies if you get your second degree at the same university. My super sim needed to go to both to complete all the organisations and I think her foxbury degree was 12 credits, not sure thought because I was focused on the organisations
Teenagers that graduate high school early can apply for the athletics and/or video gaming scholarships, but they CANNOT actually participate in the activities
Can you apply again for the same Scholarship if your application was denied? For example I applied for the E-sports scholarship and it got denied. Can I apply again for that scholarship or do I have to create another Sim to get another chance at that scholarship?
Need help! Just got the university pack and my teen was able to research universities and apply for a scholarship which she was able to get but there is no option for her to apply or enroll. Is this because she is a teen? I do not have the high school years pack. Could that be the problem?
I want to put my sim in the political career but I want her to start in a higher level what skills does she need to go to university to get in the politician career someone please help me out

I was just about to add the same tip. I never can finish all the assignments and home work if I start mid week.

it was never a problem for me (in foxbury towers at least since it was just downstairs)

I think Uni in ts4 is so much fun. I think it is a solid pack all around.
Oh heck yeah, this is a great guide! I love DU to be honest, the university system resonates w me currently grinding college lol
Thank you for this! I get confused with every single time I have a Sim apply. I'm took notes!
Thank you for making this. Many things i didnt know
Thank you EA for making the sims university experience just as difficult as real college

I’m so glad I saw this, I was confused why my teen just randomly lost their scholarship

I didn’t know you can apply for more than 1 scholarships 😢
What happens if a sim has work and class at the same time?

Need help! Just got the university pack and my teen was able to research universities and apply for a scholarship which she was able to get but there is no option for her to apply or enroll. Is this because she is a teen? I do not have the high school years pack. Could that be the problem?
Yep as an adult she will be able to apply, teens have to graduate from high school to apply
