First anyway, really good can i maybe get a pin?.(sorry if I seem annoying asking)I tbh need help with university so this helped(I finished watching and I like foxbury more)
The irritating thing about university is that afterwards you can't return to your normal life. You have to move out of your old home and any family members will age, die or reproduce without you being there (if you're doing generational play that might mean the household becomes full and your sim can't move back in). If you try rotational play your university student fails if you don't actively manage them. If you don't have a family they will have to sell their house and if you have any sort of story progression mod other sims will move into your house. It should be more like vacations, when you go to a vacation world for a week you don't have to worry about the sims you leave behind.
What do you mean? You can live at home with your family while you study, and continue as normal? I put Morgyn Ember through university, and they stayed in the household during and after their studies. It's literally no different from high school, less involved if anything. You don't have to live on campus. You don't have to have aging or NS turned on. You don't have to do anything except level up skills, homework, and write term papers and do presentations. The rest of your family and living location isn't impacted if you choose to live off campus.
@@mortal-enemy yes you can live off campus if you just want to get the degree but there's no career that requires a degree so why bother paying for the degree when just starting the career and spending that time working would get you to the same career point only very slightly slower than the time it takes to do the degree (or faster depending on individual progress on either side). The unique selling point of this pack is supposed to be the university experience living on campus with room-mates and doing all the other stuff like societies.
@@ElizabethJones-pv3sj Thats why if you want the uni experience it’s best to do 2 classes per term so you have time to study and have a social life. Tell me you didn’t watch the video cuz they literally explain the benefits of having a degree. Pay is a lot more, you start the career at lvl 6-8 depending on the type of degree(normal or distinguished), faster performance gain and days off. If you find the pack useless dont play it then.
@@younglove3362 yes, but in the 4 weeks your sim spent at university you could have got a long way towards that level 6 or 8 career if you joined straight after highschool.
This was great! I technically knew most of this, but you definitely put things together I never thought of, like taking research and debate as an elective. Of course it helps with homework and grades, but why did I never realize I could save myself time by gaining the skill passively in class 😅 Thanks, you're awesome!
When I was a preteen, I used to play with TS2 University and I loved it so much. I was so excited when this expansion pack came out! Now, may I suggest: could you do a video on differences between sane concept packs in different installments of TS franchise? I'd love to see how university packs evolved (I didn't play TS3, but still, I'd love to see what fun changes happened between TS2 and TS4!) 💕
That is such a great idea! I will definitely add this to my to-do list. (I also LOVED TS2 University so I might just do it on those two packs) Thank you for the fantastic idea 💖💖
The commons are in two different locations for each university. In the neighbourhood of your university look for a lot called Darby's Den or Larry's Lagoon 💖
Is there any way to tell when you are done studying for the exams bc my sims have been studying a lot for the tests but I’m not getting any notifications like the others that she could be done studying.
I highly suggest you play uni with aging off til you graduate especially if you’re taking your time getting the degree( have two or three classes per term)
In real life, when I was picking classes for spring semester, my advisor looked at the courseload I had picked, and she was like, "Yeah...no. That's too many classes, you'll make yourself crazy!" So I guess it's the same in the Sims.
im making a little story where my sim re-experience the school life and university life from a potion similar to a story from Laurenzside! Now im prepared cuz i got 6 ingame days left till university >:)

When you get a college degree your sim will start their career further in the promotion than without it.

Now one for real life please

thanks for the video! i was so confused about which University put my sim 🫶 i loved Britechester it reminds me of Harry Potter in some way
atm im tryying to play a vampire on and off and try to get as many courses complete but last time io played his enegy was fooked
how do you go to the commons bc i’m trying to go to a party and idk where it is 😭

I hoped you would have mentioned the secret society. As I have heard of its existence but don't know much else about it and how to join
I made a short about it! I'm planning on making another long video about all of the clubs including the secret society 💖
I pretty much always just get rid of premade Sims. :P
Procedure unclear, now I talk simlish after I graduate 😢
Is there any way to tell when you are done studying for the exams bc my sims have been studying a lot for the tests but I’m not getting any notifications like the others that she could be done studying.
Notifications don't come up. I study each class enough and I **take notes** while it class because the game says it raises the grade but lowers fun.
thanks
No problem 💖
If they graduate early teens can now go to college
wait what?
@@lydiamichaels1976 Yup when you get the popup to let your sim graduate early and accept it you can enroll them into university as a teenager. :)
do you set aging off/long when playing university? or just set to normal
I highly suggest you play uni with aging off til you graduate especially if you’re taking your time getting the degree( have two or three classes per term)
Yep, I turn it off when in college.
Can you do engineering 😊
3 classes a day is really manageable..4 classes are kaotic
