I have this toxic trait of thinking I can do most things after watching a few tutorials and feeling overly confident 😂 I did these braids on myself at the beginning of the pandemic and it took FOREVER because I don't usually braid at all so it literally took like 3 days to finish, but they looked great and I was able to keep them looking good for over a month. I salute anyone who does their own braids on a regular basis cuz I underestimated the arm pain and the mental toughness required to complete the task!

Ok so I’m learning these bundles need to not have the short hair pieces coming out a ton and that means it’s good hair. I had Amazon hair i used for another style on the weft and it did not hold up for braids bc there were so many short pcs. 😊

Did you get your hair straightened? Or is it just your hair type? Because whenever I detangle and stretch my hair for protective styles, it shrinks and tangles so easily. Is there something I could be doing wrong?
Yes! I used gel to help with gripping the hair and helping me braid neatly, but once the hair is braided and in place I shampoo to get the gel out so that the hair isn't weigh down and to also activate the curls.
I would definitely wash my bundles first, before putting it in.But to do all that is more work.I like my braids fresh and neat. I don't like when my braids are loose, especially from water. It looks great on you but there's just different methods.
Absolutely can be done, Queen 🤗 My hair is a bit long but, I've been using various creators videos for references on parting patterns, hair quality reviews, etc. Before I found this beautiful creator/video (absolutely love how her hair came out 😍🙌🏼) I had watched some videos done by Tupo1, I believe she has shorter length hair and her styles are also very pretty. I hope that helps a bit.
