Hi again Bob, Really excellent and well communicated tutorials! I asked whether # of reviews would have any impact on competing for the buy box in the comments section of another of your videos in case you missed it. However, my question here is how ACCURATE do you think the free Jungle Scout Sales Estimator extension is?
The Reason I ask is because we use AMZ Scout Pro Chrome Extension (as I see you have as well) and although I know this free extension is not the same tool as the full Jungle Scout Extension) the number of monthly sales that AMZ Scout shows is almost always considerably LESS than those of Jungle Scout's extension.
We use the more conservative monthly sales estimate of AMZ Scout when conducting sales research. Have you noticed this discrepancy between the two research tools? And is the accuracy of the free Jungle Scout Sales Estimator extension to be relied upon in your experience using it?

does the AZ fee including selling fee + FBA fee ? .i. e. swiss knife fee is $10.74 . if consider selling on amazon fee is about 15% then it is $7.45, FBA fee is $3.29? way too small . Or did you miss one of the cost? can you explain? thank you.
I am thinking that anything that has a size to it, even though it is recurring, will not be good...like diapers...is that right?
Good question! It all just comes down to the numbers. If you can make money on bulky products, after factoring in bulky product fees, why not sell it? Remember, with FBA you never have to touch the product so it's all just about the numbers :)

Good question! That all depends on your personal financial situation. If you don't need to take any of the profits out to pay your personal bills and expenses, we recommend you reinvest all of your profits so you can grow faster :)

Yes. If someone else enters the buy box you will need to divide the estimated sales by 2 (you + the new seller).
If two more people enter the buy box you would divide estimated sales by 3 (you + 2 new sellers).

Great video Bob. Im learning a lot from your videos. I am curious though because you do not mention how much you are spending to purchase the products in bulk from the supplier. In your "slash Kids" example, you shoud be able to sell 2550 sales at a cost to you of $11.75. This is about $29,962 that you have to spend to send the product in bulk to Amazon. Am I not understanding the process of buying from the supplier? You are only profiting $3,085 and you have to spend $29,962 for the product? This is not making since to me. I must be missing a step here. Can you please explain more how you purchase from the supplier or is it a single purchase at a time? I want to be a part of the Algo team but have some questions. The math does not add up. Thank you Bob.

Great question!
The lowest you can realistically start with is $500. $2k would be a better number. That's the minimum but $5k-10k would be perfect. The reason is that many suppliers have minimum orders of $1,000+.

What if I have a Seller telling me he will do all the work..even ungating me in some things...and give me a bunch of things that will sell in 90 days. Do I want to do that as you say "to roll it over in 30 days?"

Im Sorry I looked at the wrong numbers. Your share would be 850 sales but still that is a cost to you of $9,562 and a profit of $3,085. Where is the loss of $ 6,477 going? Am I not understanding your math? Please explain further if you would so kindly. Thank you Bob.
I don't currently sell so I'm not 100% sure but I think what you're forgetting is he prepays for the product. so he paid 9987.50 for 850 Amazon will take 5618.50 in fees. Now remember he already paid for the product so when all 850 are sold he makes 18,691.50 minus amazon fees -the 5618.50 leaves 13,073.00 That's what he gets then minus what he originally paid 9987.50 leaves the profit of 3085.00. So your just forgetting he gets the whole amount once it sells because at that point he owns it. Hope that helps :)
