Guy Pearce pays tribute to Neighbours at the 2022 AACTA Awards presented by Foxtel Group. Pearce was the main character in the soap for three years in the late 1980s, starring opposite Kylie Minogue and Jason Donavan. The show went on to be the longest-running drama series in Australian television history.

Why are they bringing back Neighbours? Why flog a dead horse? Must be frustrating for poor Guy who put his all into the finale; which was satisfying and tied up nicely all loose ends, only to reboot it a few months later, making it all for nowt. I hope he isn't swindled into returning again. He's far too high calibre of an actor to lower himself to Neighbours. Just all a bit embarrassing and a little disrespectful tbh...

Was thinking the same thing since he purchased Ramsay old family home in the finale so it impossible not to bring him back unless they kill him off

Sadly he has agreed to return. He's way too nice for his own good. I hope he doesn't give up any good film opportunities just to be in this soap opera.
