The acting is terrible now. Dipi, Shane and their awful son are all such shit actors it’s actually embarrassing to watch them! The rest are are average at best. The last decent actor they had was Sonya so they just had to axe her didn’t they? 🙄

This can't be right. Why is Scott worried about this woman Poppy marrying this guy Stavros for. Scott is happily married to Charlene why would he take an interest in another woman while married to Charlene. And why isn't Scott living in Brisbane with Charlene aye. I watched Charlene farewell Ramsay Street(Kylie Minogue's last official Neighbours appearance).
Scott was just a friend of Poppy's, they met studying and became good friends. She told him she was being forced into a marriage by her parents but didn't like the man. Scott was just being a good friend trying to stop her making a big mistake. They just needed a storyline for Scott with Charlene gone. But he wasn't interesting in Poppy romantically. Poppy visited Scott to say she was leaving to go back to live in Greece with her cousin, so was escaping the forced relationship. They said goodbye and that was it.
Actually, my late Nan had Aussie relatives, and she says Aussies aren't as neighbourly as portrayed on the soaps, on the contrary their front doors are gated.

Hi! I would appreciate it if someone could post a video of the first meeting with Mike and Jane and when it was their first kiss. and when they went to the school dance. Yeah the house in the scene with Mike & Des would later become the Kennedy house but not before the Willis' lived there for a few years after Des moved out.
This may sound old-fashioned, but I much preferred Neighbours back then, as the storylines were more family-friendly, and the characters were generally good-looking without them all looking like supermodels. There was also Sharon, who wasn't really slim, but also wasn't obese, and she didn't have any problem attracting men. Compare this to Tess, who said if she carried on eating chocolate biscuits, she wouldn't find Mr Right. This was in the late 90s/early 2000s. Later on, Neighbours became more about babes in bikinis, more focussed on teenagers, and less wholesome storylines. Shortly before she left, Anne Haddy (Helen) said she didn't like there being more sex storylines with the teenagers. There was also the ridiculously unbelievable storylines surrounding Sky when she was older - she dated Boyd and both the Timmins brothers, all in the same street....whilst her friend Serena, also in Ramsay Street had a fling with Boyd and dated Stingray. All in the same circle, all dating each other. Yeah right 🙄 It may not all have been believable in the older days, but it was more believable than this. Someone interviewed in the UK in the late 80s/early 90s, said they liked Neighbours because it was brighter than the British soaps like Eastenders. So they shouldn't have changed it.

im neighbours fan from australia i don't rembmer this story lines if watch them on tv back when in 1989/90 stroy lines are rated G and got relsoved before some cheater got killed off if i write this storylines G rated it would go on in love trigangle and never get re-sloved chater charlance would not leave when she sees new only to find a few days later that was only a bad dreams she had dreams about scott and poppy been happy/kissing finds out from poppy that it was all in her dreams and did not see scott/popy end together when she does not show to her wedding but she sees scott alone talk to mike about other things that scott has on his mind/his real feelings about who he loves
Home & away and that other one Neighbours and then there was a country practice - it was like a phycological warfare blitz on us here in Ireland. Those Australian soaps just made me leave the house so I did not even hear them in the background. The most horrid tripe ever broadcast on TV.

Scott was working for the paper and needed to wait for a transfer before joining Charlene in Brisbane. I don’t remember the Poppy storyline though.
