Samurai Warriors 3 - Nobunaga's Story 5 - Incident at Honnoji

Since No and Ranmaru don't have musou modes, Nobunaga is the only one to play Honnoji on the Oda side, making this unique to him. This stage is sort of BS though. First of all there is a 15 minute time limit. My first failure on this stage was the time limit. After that I specifically tried to rush and still only barely managed it in time with just 2 minutes left. So you basically have to rush and maybe even skip some officers, for no real reason other than the game just deciding to give you a time limit. And as an extra "screw you" this is one of the few Warriors games that DOES NOT have the timer appear in red text when it gets to the last 5 or 10 minutes.
This stage also kills your allies as part of scripted events, such as Ranmaru and No, so it's literally impossible to save them this time around. If they don't die on their own, they will die when Nobunaga progresses far enough.

A battle under such a tight time limit would only work with SW4's more speedy and mobility focused gameplay.

It's good to know that Koei can make Honnoji boring and uninteresting. I still think that the best version of Honnoji was Shibata Katsuie's dream stage from Samurai Warriors 2. I also preferred the Samurai Warriors 2 Honnoji theme as well.

So, in Nobunaga's ending, he doesn't kill Mitsuhide, Mitsuhide doesn't kill him, he just walks off and goes into retirement? That's pretty lame.
Does that mean that in SW3 canon, Hideyoshi kills Mitsuhide over a misunderstanding? lol

well in Mitsuhide's story he defeats Nobunaga. But in Mitsuhide's story, he's also at Sekigahara (REAL Sekigahara, not a what if) so...good luck with figuring out the canon of this game.

Get a 100 combo and take out Mitsutada Akechi
Let your health drop to red and inhume Tadazumi Tani
Whittle down the Akechi army to 7 or less officers
Kill the targeted Guard Captain within 8 mins.
