    Great display of process. I leverage MIDI FX and love the Arpeggiator. With Scripter, I hadn't known about the Probability Gate. Super great to hear in action. Thank you. Since you implement tape delay... if you have Sound Toys, their Echo Boy tape delay is killer.

      Thanks for watching! Yeah the "Probability Gate" thing I actually stole from some BBC Brian Eno interview, but he was using it on drum beats. I'm going to check out that Echo Boy now. My goal for this video was to use only built-in Logic plug-ins but I'm definitely always looking for great sounds.

      My pleasure! I've got another video on feedback loops in Logic that I'm finishing up. Stay tuned. I should be uploading it in a couple weeks.

    nice I am trying to use this for a sci fi track for my game.

    • @SimonHutchinson

      Perfect! If you wanted to, you could totally program something that does this in Unity, Unreal, or whatever, and then you’d have infinitely generative music in your game!

      I actually just tried your method and it didn't work out well. I have a good idea for your next turorial: Maybe try to show how to make a sci fi track.

      @@logimite7174 Ha! Oh well. If at first you don't succeed....
      I'll add the scifi track video to my todo list!

    When you mix the track and then bounce the track, does the random notes, transposing, ect, included in the bounced track? Or do you make a 'dub mix'? TY.

    • @SimonHutchinson
      @SimonHutchinson  3 роки тому +7

      You can just bounce the track and it'll do all of the random stuff, even if you don't do a realtime bounce.

    This was great, more like this one, can you get more scripts, free or paid, ? , Im a little jealous at Max for Live with all the crazy midi stuff there, If anyone has links to scripts then please drop a few

      @SimonHutchinson  Рік тому

      I haven't done much searching around for scripts, but I'll second that: If you know any cool ones, please share a link. I guess, really, the expectation is that we should make our own, but it's hard to make time when there's so much else to do!

    Brian Eno uses Scripter a lot.

      I actually discovered Scripter after watching a BBC interview with Brian Eno where he was talking about it (particularly the "probability gate" stuff).

      @@SimonHutchinson Same here :) It looks like he is using custom scripts. I might get into scripting once I get more familiar with the stock features (still new to music production).
