- This was the sixth race from the Bluffers Park Basin spring race series held June 14, 2023. Ross Eddie and crew got Seascape off to a good start but were constantly made to stare at Double Vision's stern as they rounded marker after marker. In the end Seascape came in with a solid second place corrected time of 58:56. Michael Forster on Double Vision took first place with a corrected time of 58:10.
Both Seascape and Double Vision are C&C 27 Mark 5 sailboats.

If they had tensioned the backstay going upwind, I suspect it would have helped. You could see the problem in the luff of the big jib.
Love how Ross and Mike show age is no barrier to great racing…keep it up! So exciting!
2:10 jib halyard is very soft. Shouldn't have those wrinkles in the luff.
Thanks for pointing that out... its all the little things that add up to win the race.
Face it, Andrew, you can't beat the Welsh. 🙂
Those that forget their history are doomed to repeat it... Conquest of Wales by Edward I from 1277 to 1283 🤣
