    Jackson you just took the words right out of my own mouth; quoting ghandiji and isaiah; wowwwww; God owns nothing; his poverty is revealed through grace; that is what JB has brought to the world these last sixty or more years. beautiful job;

    "Oh, and I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Joan Baez. She was the queen of folk music then and now. She took a liking to my songs and brought me with her to play concerts, where she had crowds of thousands of people enthralled with her beauty and voice. People would say, "What are you doing with that ragtag scrubby-looking waif?" And she'd tell everybody in no uncertain terms, "Now you better be quiet and listen to the songs." We even played a few of them together. Joan Baez is as tough-minded as they come. Loyal, free minded and fiercely independent. Nobody can tell her what to do if she doesn't want to do it. I learned a lot of things from her. A woman of devastating honesty. And for her kind of love and devotion, I could never pay that back." - Bob Dylan, excerpt from his MusiCares Person of the Year (2015) speech 💕💖

    Judging from the comments I found here--just saw this for the first time--there seems to be a lot of people so filled with hate they cannot even accept this tribute for what it is. Sad.

    PROPHETIC! THANK YOU JACKSON. I will never forget walking into a small church in East Village during an anti Nam war protest and standing in the center of that spiritual house
    was Joan Baez and Country Joe singing protest songs. We need Joan's voice and County Joe and Jackson's voices now more than ever.

    Such a great woman! LOVE HER. I am so grateful to know her music and to be part of her generation. I stand up for her and her wisdom, that wisdom that in my teenage years opened my eyes and awakened the thirst in my heart for peace and social justice in the world. THANK YOU JOAN, I LOVE YOU.

    To get to see Joan perform live multiple times will always be among the greatest concerts I have seen. Everything about her presence is commanding, and somehow both comforting and distinctly intimidating, and honest, and wise. It's much easer to talk than it is to walk but she has spent a lifetime doing both. She's one of the coolest people ever to make her way into the public eye -- and not let it diminish her character.

      Eric Bennion Yeah, he's not about Browne being a woman abuser. Baez is popular for singing other people's tunes. How she was as a mother only her son would know and he is very close to her so the neglectful thing might be bullshit.

      Bob.......Where/ When did Jackson were admit to beating women???? Charges were never brought against Jackson ( and they don't have to be if there is evidence of abuse ), but you said " admitted " so when did he ever admit he abused women (???)

    For hundreds of years. For thousands of years. For tens of thousands of years. For hundreds of thousands of years. For a couple million years men have stared into the fire and played with their toys while the women did all the work and I see no reason to change things now.

    "...the song (We Shall Overcome) is needed now more than ever." Oh please, Jackson, give it a rest. Perhaps down in Venezuela, in China and any other country that suppresses freedom and liberties to its people. But in the U.S., that's not what the socialist movement is about. Socialism brings nothing but misery for all, except of course the party elites and celebrities they hold in esteem, sort of like how Scientology does.
