benzino was at one point the ceo or like co owner of the source which at the time was one of the best ways for a new artist to get promo because the internet was around but it's not like everyone had full access to it. they had a rating system the 5 mics, and with benzino's influence it started shifting from unbiased reviews to heavily biased reviews notably giving his releases the highest ratings despite majority opinion being it was dumpster juice and giving em and a lot of people affiliated with em lower ratings.
