Its just lovely to hear women connecting and talking honestly together as we are all effected by so many issues in life and we just have to carry on going and get on with things, so these honest connections are so affirming ❤
mummy to 7 small children here... !!! ive totally lost my self over the last 7 years ...and all i can say is TOMORROW .. im going to order some new underwear and make the biggest changes .. thankyou .. i will come back x
❤ make sure you do it, do it for you and do it for your children, show them that we need to look after ourselves, it's actually a very important thing to teach our children, I wasn't and it sounds like you weren't either and also you feel good and do things for you that will help you to have more strength for them, with 7 little ones you need it ❤
Two damaged women, as they said, talking about their stuff as damaged women. They are looking for confirmation from each other, that their current situation was not their fault. 😂
I get the dating app thing but I don't think it's true that everyone is damaged. I bet the most beautiful man on hinge and 3 years on we are married. I am 51 and he is 48 and we are nothing prepared to do the work, but life is that hey. I hated the apps but I met James and I feel so blessed. so I want to encourage others not to give up. Love this interview and just heard about Davina's op and sending the love. Ram was ' we are loving awareness' Thanks for your honesty and courage to you both xx
Will definately buy the book I cant even sing the chorus of ‘picking up the pieces’ without welling up. I am in my mid 40s and thought the issue was me with online dating i’m just not clicking with anyone.
Please forgive me if this sounds patronising (because it absolutely is not): Paloma comes across as such an 'old soul' - I wish I'd had her insight and foresight to critically analyse as she does at her age. Love her!!
But M&S Brazilian cut black packet pants are the comfiest thing ever, and I just can’t go back to itchy, scratchy, always gets stuck in your butt crack pants. I just can’t do it 😅
Kinship carer Grandparent. Doing it alone with no village/safetynet. I asked for help a few times and I didn't get it. So I only now ask a few of my newer 'mum' friends when I absolutely need it. I am tired.all.the time!
Paloma said that she does not want ‘a project’ in a man ……. But at this time, the 5 & 7 year old children are enough of ‘a project’ right now. I think when the children are a little bit older and less dependant she will have more patience and tolerance for all that a new relationship will bring.
My body fell apart at menopause. I've completely lost myself. I didn't have kids.. I wear packet pants proudly. My boobs grew and grew. Can't fit into anything sexy. I'm bleugh.
Define your own version of sexy instead of some commercial idea of what sexy is. Confidence, compassion, intelligence, humour and kindness are all as important. If you are concerned about your health then speak to your GP and look at your diet and exercise. Yoga and pilates are great for making you feel relaxed and strong.
@@estherlane7498 I absolutely do. I am over a year a bit the other side of my last period. I am 54. I don't look the same or feel the same as I did pre the perimenopause, I have chronic pain and thyroid issues. You are not bleugh and neither am I. How society fetishes youth and the physical, especially in women is half the problem. Acceptance is the only way I have found to move forward and find a version of me that I can get on with. I am slowly trying to improve my health with a better diet and exercise, but regular sleep still escapes me on a near daily basis. It's a process and a slow one and some days I get up to help get my son get to school and go back to bed I am so tired. I had counselling and it helped me - I couldn't get on with hormone treatment. I made a pest out of myself with the drs to make sure everything is as it should be - it wasn't. I look past the turkey neck and the dark circles and the cellulite and see someone who has lived through some sh/t and come out the other side.
@@emmaemma6641 I did type a full comment but for some reason it didn't show. I am the poster and have gone through the menopause - I am 54. I know from experience that you can heal - but it takes time and effort and it is not the same me but a different version of me that I like and I accept. It is not unhealable - but it is effing hard. You have to redefine yourself either physically or emotionally or both. I have chronic health issues and often chronic pain but I refuse to let that rule my life. Neither my body or my self worth is the same as before. Menopause, as well as giving me the standard symptoms also gave some other gifts. I have deep eye circles from chronic insomnia (througout the menopause), turkey neck from thyroid problems, cellulite and extra weight in places it didn't exist before (menopause and thyroid). I can't keep feeling sorry for myself - I am a good person with lots of good qualities and I truly only care what friends and family think of how I look and what I do. Exercise does help,, as does a better diet and so does not giving a fig about anyone else's perceptions of you. Acceptance is key - I have had counselling and it made me look past the physical to the person that has been through some crud in her life (loss, grief, ill health and more) and come out the side still alive. It sounds harsh but I had to decide if I was worth the effort or if I was going to just wallow. Edited for typos.
Great pod cast - pants pointer -affordability though ladies your rich n famous you can afford sexy undies that aren’t cheap material etc the ones in primani are not bad but the material rubbish !
Maybe, but then again, checking men and women’s genitals on national television, is surely as submissive. ? Unless davina enjoyed it hey ? Ohh , best not mention that ! 😂
Wealthy people talking down to us again. Who were we for wearing a 3 pack of pants. It’s all I can afford, I hope ur comments make u feel good as you have made me feel like crap
Change hourly ladies. ! Terrible advice ! That’s how you will attract an emotionally and also financially secure man that you have serious hots for, to take care of you is it ? Look . These girls are famous and have money. Respect to them both for that. However, they both have not got to nirvana ! 😂☯️
I don’t mind ‘ comfortable m’s’ knickers I get the good ones out my happy days . I lov that davina is doing this now did not really dig tv crap this is real and I really think women need this podcast at the moment’ and ur so bloody good at it . Menapause one I was in tears sent it to my daughter’ just so she could maybe have a better understanding of why I’m nit if a let down at moment . She doesn’t no how much I’m forgetting and all the great stuff comes with it . Oh well closer to the end then the beginning. 🤟🏼😜🥲
Davina is doing amazing things, away from fake tv, shes doing things that actually matter and im so grateful

This interview is so cool, there's so much truth to it, Paloma Faith is refreshingly and amazingly honest. Thank you for that!

Are we supposed to feel sorry for you? How about stop having children?
7 children!!!! 😮
2 very real women talking about very real things. This is so refreshing

Such an incredible interview with two incredible ladies, thank you xxx

u absolutely need a village! It's inhumane doing it without the support of a community. I know, I lived it, in a foreign country too...
Both ladies 1st class❤

I’ve spent my life in packet pants. I love them and need them.
Fantastic interview 👏 Love you both 🥰
Another amazing talk. Thank you, Davina ❤.
Brilliant interview ❤
Super interview, really enjoyed it ❤❤
Hahaha, what’s wrong with a 5 pack of M&S packet pants?! 😂
Nowt. I have comfy ones, hold it in ones and snazzy ones. Depends on what you need from the day.
The ones with lace at the top is what I go for
Nothing, nothing at all!
Love paloma her book is really good
I’m happy in my packet pants thanks loves 💚💚
Paloma is cool 😊
Such fantastic inspirations for women, If I can age like them then bring it on!
these interviews, and others like them, are my tribe. MILF will be on my coffee table today as well as WANT. So good. Thank you.
Paloma says “ you are everyone and everything”. ! 42:20:00 . All being ? No , you are just a simple human paloma.
Oh my God....I love this
Davina you look amazing for 57 and so happy 😊
