Well I'll be back to rewatch this 20 more times until I finally sink all this in. I know it's so much easier then I'm making it but for the love of all things holy
I know I’m 3 years late on this comment but did you run into any issues? I’m debating dropping my 2012 F150 Lariat from 20’s to 17’s. Just curious…and in know this seems like a dumb question but when wheels are going for over $250 a pop I’ve gotta ask: Any issues with the brake components or anything being a tight fit?
Why don’t you tell us the WHEELS you were showing in this video. I would like the know the BRAND and MODEL the white jeep at the 51 second mark in the beginning of this video. The wheel has a silver/white circle on the outer rim/Lip the outer edge of the and the inner center is black. It looks like it says the word ‘“Center Line” logo in the middle if you could please tell me I would appreciate it. Thanks 🙏 8:41
I have installed 30mm wheel spacers after a 2 inch suspension lift on Prado. The wheels are still stock. I have 3 options. Should I get -12 offset and remove spacers? Or Keep spacers with stock wheels Or Get -12 offset and let the wheel spacers be there..
I could be wrong, but I suspect if the wheel has a negative offset then it would bolt in closer to the inside of the wheel/tire. Thus, more of the protrudes outwards, giving that more aggressive tire out of the wheel well look.
Shooooooot I may have messed up! 😂 Just bought some 285/70r17 KO3s for my new to me 2015 F150. The trim is lariat and came with 20s 275/55r20. I bought some 17inch wheels with a zero offset and may end up with the tires crashing into the vehicle 😂 I think the factory offset on these is +44 🤦♂️
Can you include in your next video more details about going from a 20” wheel to an 18” wheel for those of us who do not like 20”+ wheels? Can you give us more detail about clearing brake calipers, etc? I have 275/65r20 tires on my 2020 Chevrolet 2500 and would like to go to a 285/75r18 or 295/70r18 with Fuel Blitz +20 offset. What can help us better choose wheels that will not have clearance issues? I realize I am in the vast minority of preferring smaller wheels with a positive offset, but we are indeed out here. Or is this something that is best for customers to call Trailbuilt to discuss? Thanks, and as always, interesting video(s) 💯
@@TrailBuilt Thanks for the reply. I have been emailing Anthony H, who has been a tremendous help, and very patient & professional in helping me. I mentioned the tire size and going down in wheel size as a comment to this video in hopes y’all may address it in more detail in Part 2 or another video altogether. I will definitely be back in touch with Anthony when I am ready to pull the trigger on my final purchase.
Can do a pros and cons video on solid face wheels like the Black Rhino wheels please? I'm not an off-roader, I will be on road 100% of the time, I just really like how they look, they are very simple but look great to me. The vehicle they will go on is a Ford F150 XL crew cab 5.5 bed with 5.0 motor.
Went from stock 20s to 18s in my Ram 1500. Currently have 18s on my JT and will be going to 17s with 35s. Now when I upgrade my axles way down the road will possibly be going with 20s with 40s or 42s.😉
Can someone please let me know brand of black wheels on the black ford pickup or white gmc pickup. Would love to get those for my truck. Thanks in advance.
Hello, I have a Subaru Outback. The factory rim size is 7JX18ET55. I want to change the rims to 17 inch Subaru comes with the following sizes 7JX17ET 55 or 48. I can't find any rims that size I find 8JX17 ET38 or 7.5JX17ET55 and with the 18 inch 8JX18ET30. My question is can i mount the rims that are not exactly the same size or not. Thanks

Not a dramatic difference, but depending on the vehicle and wheel you are choosing it can make the difference between the wheel offset being flush with fenders or giving that little poke which many people desire.
@TrailBuilt I'm putting Toyos 33 x12.5x 20 on a 2018 F150. Paired with Fuel Throttles 20x10. I got the -12 but after seeing the -24s I'm having regrets. I definitely want that poke to be noticed. I kinda rushed the decision
Can you please revisit your comments on wheel offset / backpacking affecting caster and camber angles? As caster describes an angle of the wheel hub face to vertical and caster describes an angle of the steering pivots (ball joints) to vertical neigher of these change due to wheel offsets. Lift kits are likely to affect one or both of these settings. Was this mentioned in error?
Can you be more specific of which part you are talking about? The only wheels in this video I see are the Jeep stock wheel (2nd half of the video) and then our Anthem Offroad Viper Here is a link: www.trailbuiltoffroad.com/brands/wheels/Anthem+Off-Road/Viper
