If you can change the DNS address on Firestick to block their updates, does this mean you can also delete Amazon installed apps with ES Explorer, and Amazon won't be able to re-install those apps again on your Firestick automatically?
You don't have to change your DNS settings in order to uninstall Amazon's apps. ES File Explorer allows you to uninstall them, but you need Net Guard in order to make sure Amazon's unable to send any updates to your FS. With this video update, I don't think you need Net Guard. However, I'm using it for extra security.
I need to look, but amazon used to save all recorded things that their apps like alexa and the talk to option used in this video. If you would go into amazon account i dont remember exactly where but you could go in and see , listen to, and delete all audio it picked up. Even more-so with Alexa that would activate if it heard something similar to its command. If you know where to find the section or if they still keep them please remind me where. like if you wanted to keep using Local adb or a custom launcher - you would block updates as the latest Amazon updates broke/blocked this functionality
Thks, my fire TV stick is on recovery mode I am using it on my TV (Sony mark) and I can not switch on reset to make complete factory of fire Tv. So I saw your video about How to factory reset fire Tv stick with computer by using adb but for me when I plug my fire Tv on laptop I can ear sound of plugging it and immediatly laptop eject it so I can’t also make factory rest with laptop
