Found your old BP post. Figured I’d look you up to see if you were still at it. Congratulations. Question! Did you drop your original career immediately for just a commission job? Or did you continue to work while shifting to RE? Or maybe back then it wasn’t solely commission?
I’m always amazed at the number of people that reached out to me after that BP post. I actually wrote my initial where I left my career in medical devices and then wrote an update about year 6 after being a land Specialist with Whitetail properties real estate for six years. When I left that career we sold the company so it was over for me. I never went back although I thought about it. I was recruited a number of times, and I actually said yes to one company but my heart said don’t do this. So I backed out. I got a nice influx of money to live off of and kind of kickstart my next career when we sold the company. The transition was fairly smooth as I was starting out in a improving market that got better and better over the next half decade. It peaked in June 2021 I would say or maybe June 2022. It’s definitely slowing down right now. If you are in a similar situation and you would like to talk to me live if you can always give me a call. You would be surprised the number of guys from that industry who reached out to me. I really appreciate that. You follow the videos and hopefully you’ll subscribe and share them. It helps the algorithms. I also have a podcast by the same name on Spotify and Apple so look for that and I put a new episode out weekly. We talk about buying managing and selling American land. It’s not a management or hunting podcast but we talk a little bit about that. I would say I try to do my best to lean towards the improving your wealth through hunting land and hunting aspect.
