- 6 days to travel 300+ miles. We're taking it easy and traveling a different route to get to Oregon. It's a fun way to get to where you're going. Along the way we meet some really cool people. Come along and experience a part of America few people get a chance to experience on the ground.
The Journey is the Destination as we discover What's Next.

Being among the animals and making dad jokes. A li'l fun for everyone. The sight of the lettuce at Frog Hollow made my mouth water. That dog at the lavender Harvest Host was quite the welcme wagon. All in all, each of the host hops exemplified the beauty and joy that abounds in nature - the animals, the plants, the rolling hills, and open plains. As the song said, "I could feel it too." It was nice being able to enjoy these stops.
Lots of fun on the farm. Glad you enjoyed it...puns and all!
Those Harvest Hosts seem like wonderful places to stay. I would truly enjoy meeting the people and seeing their farms ❤️❤️❤️❤️😘😘😘
They are great places to stay with very unique settings and usually quiet. Very nice people with a great story.
I enjoy your travels and adventures.
Thank you Carol. We enjoy traveling and showing it to others. Lots of places you can go in a Big Truck! Lol
I admire the way you whip that big rig around.
Thanks Dick but I only whip it around when there's lots of room! LOL Otherwise, I'm clearing the parking lot! 🤣🤔😮
I love the music you play on your content LOVE IT
Thanks Crissy. I think the right song makes certain segments of the video and I really enjoy the combination. Glad you enjoyed it and appreciate your comment. 😊
Lovely as usual. You are keeper for the driving skills. So glad the sense of smell is coming back. Thank you for allowing me on your journey.
Thank you for the comments and appreciate your time watching the channel. We're not perfect but we're very careful in where we go... and try to insure that we will fit. Thanks for sharing in our journey. Great to have you along.
Thank you 20oxford for your kind comments! I can't tell you how much we truly appreciate them! 🥰
I like the fact that you do not glamourise travelling but you show the truth and in a classy way. Being from the S.W. England I love the way you show so many very different places in the U,S,A, You would find your travelling would be very different here in the U.K. In your rig you would find it difficult to drive around our rural roads. Well done to you both. Surprised you have not got a million followers yet. Perhaps you are too cultured for some.
Lol. Thank you so much. Your comments mean a great deal to us. There is no way we could travel this way in the UK... but we have looked at different types of caravans to maybe one day visit your beautiful isles.
Awww. 🥰 thank you so much! We just got started and maybe one day we will get there but that's a nice to have, not a need to have or our goal. We've been to the UK multiple times on business but not pleasure. We've been talking about renting a caravan and spend a few months exploring the area. Maybe when things settle down... 😉
@@mrsbigtruckbigtravels726 I am sure you will be welcomed in all areas as you have an amazing grace about you both. We love people who are both gentle and cultured. You would have a very happy travel in our land. most of it would have to be in campsites but the things you would see will blow your minds.
Veggie seeds and bees are my business!
Dennis
Nice... that's a growing business! 🤔😅🤣 I'll bet you're busy as a bee! 🤣
I could feel her tension about bottoming out the trailer on THE DIP. I have an idea for some HD skids that would work to reduce that stress. Nicely done video.
Hey Marcel! Thanks for the comment and watching. We have rollers at the rear bottom of Orion (name of trailer) to prevent any bottom scraping but I still cringe anyway. So far in 3.5 years of having Orion we haven't touched our rear end. We did just barely scrape the front jack at the last HH which you'll see in next week's video "Headed to the Hood" so be sure to subscribe to be notified. 😊
Hi Marcel- thanks for the comments. That would be great to hear your ideas on the HD skids. Sondra definitely gets tense on some of those entrances and exits.
Another great video! You guys are good entertainment for sure!!
Thank you Thomas for the comment. Hopefully not like Lucy & Desi! 🤪 We are trying to show people it's possible to travel to lots of places even in a big rig. 🤩
Be sure to subscribe. David has more great videos scheduled. 😉
Thanks Thomas. We show it as it happens. We try to plan and minimize any drama. Really appreciate your comments. Thanks for watching the channel.
@@mrsbigtruckbigtravels726 I love watching you guys, there is no drama and you seem like real genuine good people that like to enjoy life!
Nice video.
Thank you for watching the channel. We're excited to be able to share our experiences with everyone.
24:31 Love lavender products & oils. Only wish I could of smelled them there. Am I seeing double. Another truck/trailer next to y'll.
There were a bunch of campers at that Harvest Host. The lavender smelled great! There did happen to be another big rig there.
Gotta say I enjoy your choice of music in the background. Beautiful farm even if it ain't my bees wax. Lol!
😂😂😂 "the getaway car for the distillery" that hilarious.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the comments.
Hi guys.. Harvest host can be very nice ..but also very tight... Flowers were very pretty... Walmart I'm surprised you didn't see the sign that said no trucks... Baby Goats are always cute.... Thank you for the video... You have not said anything about your traveling partners... You guys stay safe... Thanks again...J&A
Many times a posted no overnight sign applies to commercial trucks. We always go in and ask. Most of the time they give us permission and direct us to the area they want us to park. Our travel partners were the Henegars. Thanks for your comments and appreciate your time watching the channel.
@@bigtruckbigtravels oh agree about over night...however I think it ment no trucks in that Entrance... Sometimes the main entrances are not big enough you have to go around like the Walmart trucks do... Not sure but I do not believe we know you're running mates... Anyway it looks like you guys are having a great time... Are you going to make the Tampa show in January... We are... Thanks again stay safe
@@jeannealex2560 Yes. The sign was meant for commercial but the owners had no issue with us. We'll definitely be in warmer temperatures for January, we're going south. Stay safe on the road. Hope to see you sometime.
@@bigtruckbigtravels I thought you made arrangements..I was just wondering about that entrance...January..are you going to tamp show...we are...if so ..look forward to seeing you..my phone doesn't understand what type of language I speak...lol...sorry
@@jeannealex2560 Hey Jean & Alex, we do make arrangements but we missed the truck entrance at the Wal-Mart so turned in to that tight entrance. Unfortunately, we are not going to the Tampa show but heading directly west in January. Stay safe.
Those are some big “snap pads” without the snap. Surprisingly you don’t use them under the rear jacks as well
Bill, normally I do but did not that time because I thought it would be a little firmer than it was and we were fairly level so I didn't put a lot of weight on the rear...or so I thought. Thanks for the comments and appreciate your time watching the channel.
Good observation Bill! Generally we have something under the jacks to help disperse the weight (rear jacks are 15k pounds each) and there have been a few times where even they sank a bit with the pads under them! 😬
If you guys decide to make an overnight or multi-day stop in or around Omaha/Council Bluffs…let me know and we can do a meetup ! !
That would be very cool. We enjoy meetups on the road. We may be going through that area on our way to Alaska this summer...but I'll have to check the routing and weather as we get closer. Glad your'e along on the journey. Appreciate the comments. Thanks for watching. 😊
Enjoyed your section driving I-84 along the Columbia River. Been over that many times. You missed the Mary Hill museum on the Washington side. Curious as to the second HDT traveling behind you at each of the Harvest Hosts?
Some friends of ours that have a KW HDT and a DRV fifth wheel. Sometimes we travel together depending on interests and schedules.
Are you going to Hutchinson Ks in October. I would like to meet you.
Hi Tim. Thanks for the comments. Unfortunately, we will not be able to make Hutch this year. Hopefully next year. It's a great rally with a lot of good info.
Any comparisons between the two trailers in you trip regarding HVAC, Solar and the need to run a generator? Mini Split's vs the conventional roof top units.
Hi Rod- Lol... the mini splits allowed us to stay cool in some hot weather. The generator was run by "the other guys". Our solar and battery bank along with the efficient mini splits allowed our genset to stay quiet.
@@bigtruckbigtravels Sort of what I expected to read. Met someone recently who is building a "Bus" . He didn't know how efficient the Mini Splits are and said he was planning on 3 roof top units. Will find out if he changes his mind.
The dad joke game is strong
The "farce" is strong in this one...🤔😂 I was on a roll at this stop! Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the comments and appreciate your time watching the channel. 😃
@Big Truck Big Travels I just found you guys a few days ago and I really enjoy your channel it's good stuff
Can you share information about the couple that has been traveling with?
Hi Richard- they are David & Vicki Henegar with a 2017 KW and a DRV.
You were close to where I live 20 miles from me
That's very cool! Wow! Small world. Thanks for watching.
Luv the content wijkd awsum hate the music
Appreciate the feedback, Susan. Thanks for watching the channel. What was it about the music that you didn't like?
C4YT😊
Appreciate you watching the channel. 😎
11:05 great setup
Thank you. We enjoy it thoroughly. Lol...hard to not enjoy it.
Thank you very much! We spent years designing it and so glad to be enjoying it. 😊
Hope all is going well over on your side of the world. 😉
DId you want to shoot the guy in the Walmart parking lot that pulled in front of you while you parked?
That was so discourteous that we couldn't believe it when he did it! Luckily, he moved before we did but it was still rude. We're not really sure why he did it. Oh Well...life goes on. Thanks.
I would have laid on the Horn and Scared the 💩 out of him😝🤣
@@jamesglenn520 We took the high road, James....but it wasn't without thinking about your suggested course of action! LOL😎😎🤣🤣
❤going to stop watching can't stand the music watched 14 videos
Sorry Susan that you don't like the selections. What don't you like about the music?
