    Loved it. Amazing cliffhanger. The story is so much more developed. The characters have grown so much.

    I just finished, and I was shell shocked, now I'm just crying and the title makes so much sence all of a sudden it hit me
    And I'm about to start uni again tomorrow and preparing for it is thankfully saving my mind, if I read it with more holiday left I'd have probs tried to lay in bed and cry for a week
    And that laugh at the end, if you know you know 😭😭😭

    I am currently reading the last graduate. I really enjoyed the first book despite the fact so many people tried to cancel it. I am really excited about this one, I am currently 25% in and I am enjoying it so far. Didn't know it would end in a cliffhanger, now I am a bit worried. :D

      @@foreverdissenting3675 In the book, there are a melting pot of ethnicities represented, and some took offense with the way their race was portrayed in one paragraph. I'm not part of the group that felt misrepresented, so I can can't really speak to it it's validity, although it did feel blown out of proportion to me. There was a whole thing online, and she ended up making a very graceful apology and changed the ebook version and future printings to remedy the perceived slight.

    I just finished A Deadly Education and I really, really liked the plot but I didn't like the sort of stream of consciousness and info dumping. I felt like it was often repetitive and hated how it would always come right in the middle of anything exciting, lol. You said this one was also through her point of view... was it like the first one in the information delivery?

    • @onemanbookclub2585
      @onemanbookclub2585  2 роки тому +2

      I hear you, and I know exactly what you mean. Unfortunately, you can expect to find exactly more of the same in book 2.

    • @catiadupreez6355
      @catiadupreez6355 2 роки тому

      I also found the info dumping tedious, but often that information is used later so you understand better (also if it had been a long separation between reading the books and you were trying to remember book one)
      Also I don't know about anyone else but I found the info dumping to lead my mind in different directions only for the book to go in a completely opposite direction, ie was not expecting most of how the book went

  • @foreverdissenting3675

    Will you reread these first two books before the third comes out in a year or do you think your memory with them will serve you just fine?

    • @onemanbookclub2585
      @onemanbookclub2585  3 роки тому +2

      It probably depends on how long we have to wait for book 3. If it comes out in 2022, I'll probably be good to just either skim the books or read a synopsis somewhere online. If it's a couple years, I'll probably have to re read them. What about you?

      They're pretty great, but the cliffhanger is a killer. If you're torn, I say don't stress it. If it's fun now, it's going to be fun later, so really it's a win win, either way!
