the C+ chord sounds so good
You said it ma dude
LITERALLY! probably the highlight of the video
The CM6/Eb gave me goosbump
can someone explain what a + chord is to me (or even just which notes are in the C+ chord), i couldn't find anything online
@@wimpywater it means C augmented which means you raise the fifth of the triad
Fun fact, this is the trumpet player nintendo like always hire, so you’ve probably heard him many times before in like any game OST for nintendo
Examples that come to mind are all of mario kart 8 and animal crossing new horizons
I mean it makes sense he is a legend and Japanese
Eric Miyashiro, one of the best lead and soloist players with how big his sound is up there
oh I love this fact! I've always wondered who helps make Nintendo's bangers come to life :)
And he has single handedly ruined every other mario OST since the 2010s.
I'm not saying he's bad, but he just takes all the spotlight and shifts the entire feel of the music around brass
Okay, that was a _high_ C if I've ever heard one, but gosh dang it how this melody just soars over this luscious chord progression full of juicy extensions is a lovely dose of ear candy!
It's the Star Trek end credits if you ever want to hear the original
Ah yes, it was quite an indubitable performance
Double lol
quite juicy indeed
Actually, the last note was a double Bb, but the quarter note before it was a double C. And if that was a Bb trumpet (most likely) it would have been a concert Bb followed by a held concert Ab. Transposition matters.🙂
Yeah that’s probably the most trumpet sounding trumpet I’ve heard
Maynard Ferguson’s pupil….
I love Eric’s style. No obnoxious vibrato, just the clean brassy sound.
He hits those notes so confidently too!
This brings me back to my freshman year of marching band when we did a reach for the stars theme. Man I wish us trumpets got to play this high but none of us have the range to do it ( ´◡‿ゝ◡`)
Eric Miyashiro is phenomenal to listen to!! He's performed with the likes of Maynard Ferguson too, as well as an instrumentalist on the game, Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Ah, my daily dose of jaw drop!
You said it
How many years of practice and how many hours put into this to produce this beautiful sound... Wow, I could never.
fun fact: that is the same guy who plays the trumpet in the Animal Crossing New Horizons theme song.
+
and also many Mario games too :)
Eric Miyashiro is such an amazing trumpet player. I personally look up to him.
God he just plays SO CLEAN!!!
The 144p quality just makes this even more glorious.
He has more control over his breath than I do my life. Huh. Maybe I should take trumpet lessons.
Such clean, crisp playing! Amazing!
damn this sounds like an anime opening
I've heard rumors that there were notes that high, but I never believed them. Until now.
Huge fan of your work :) If possible, could you do a transcription of Laufey's I Wish You Love cello cover, it's one of my favorite songs ♥️
One day 😩 absolutely mind blowing!!!
Genuinely the best trumpet I’ve heard for playing high and loud like that
Is this a reference to 'I play high and loud, because that it all I know how to do. I can play higher and louder than anyone else in the band.', etc, etc.?
@@NinjaOfLU no
Love it❤
Eric Myashiro is a legend. He played with Buddy Rich for years. I think he was heavily influenced by Maynard Ferguson whose band he also played in.
As a trumpet player, I am astounded with how good this man's tone is in the higher register. How is it so pretty??? it doesn't sound forced at all!
Probably not blowing anyone's mind here, but the Theme from Star Trek is based on the changes to Out of Nowhere. I don't have anything to base it on, but I wouldn't be surprised if Alexander Courage was also listening to Tadd Dameron's Casbah (also based on Out of Nowhere) with Fats Navarro when he composed it.
0:24 THAT TRILL!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I don’t want to now how much it must hurt to play that high
Piece was originally written for balloon.
Boldly going where no trumpet player has gone before
The only time the engineer turns off phantom power
eric miyashiro is such a role model to me
Eric Miyashiro is an international god on trumpet
I thought we went over this.
Yap. He is Eric Miyashiro, a Hawaiian Japanese high note hitter. But he is not a monster. He plays sweet and softly, too.
holy crap this was good. sitting here stunned.
Same artist who played the Animal Crossing theme!
Out of this world!
how high can you play ?
miyashiro: yes
eric miyashiro
Wow, that was epic!
Eric is King!
The title changes from “Trumpet has never sounded to good” to “He is the final trumpet boss”
Well clearly you can
wii sports vibes
Daym.
Didn't knew Kim Jong Un had a twin that's good at the trumpet
I remember seeing this guy in another video where they make the animal crossing theme song, super cool
Like an anime intro, or like a One piece character introduction/ sanji after defeating his enemy with his MOST powerfull kick
Above the stars!
When Star Trek and Mario Kart collide
Everyone rise for the federation galactic anthem
Sounds just like Maynard Ferguson
Wait a damn minute, this trumpet sounds VERY familiar! Mario Kart comes to mind, for some reason
No one can beat maybard Ferguson
SHEESH!
agreed
Had he soloed on either 'Giant Steps' or 'Cherokee' or mastered other tunes by other trumpeter immortals: Wynton Marsalis, Clifford Brown, Lee Morgan, Freddie Hubbard, Miles Davis, Fats Navarro, Dizzy Gillespie, etc.--I wouldda gave 'props'.
But Star Trek? Gimme a break already will ya.
🎺 🎺 🎺 🎺 🎺
Beam me up, trumpet! 😁
Mr. MarioKart himself
SHEEEEEEEEEEEEESH
Damn
I dunno, Oli Parker sure sounds good :-)
YTR-8330EM
-perhaps
Kinda sounds like Mario kart music!
Star Trek!!!!
Ok Ok 👍
He practiced for 40 hours a day
This man looks like the offspring of Kim Jong Un and Donald Trump.
i could never i cant even do a high E
Eles tocando assim fica até parecendo que a nota si lá em cima é fácil de tirar 😅😅😅
star trek the anime
this song sound like one out of Mario odyssey ngl
Good, but Maynard did it first and did it better. This is basically his arrangement anyway. Perhaps follow up by showing his clip from the Mike Douglas show. It just oozes funk
bring back the old title :(
he changed it again
How bout a ballard?.
Hog rider!
Rab C Nesbit can't half play the trumpet 🎺
is it just me or was there some one piece in there?
Sound a littlie bit like Pokémon music lmao
Who is he?
why do you always have three different titles for each video?
Test
High Cs are realistically not that hard tbh.
Just like any instrument you can add effects to make it sound different
I'm still relatively new to trumpet playing and I've come across quite a number of people who have lost their teeth who used to play the trumpet. Is it just a coincidence?
They're not playing trumpet right if they lost their teeth. Trumpet is all in the lips/embouchure muscles if you're doing it right, pressing the horn against your face is not the right way to play.
I've not heard of that before, but yea what the reply above said. If you play correctly, without pushing the trumpet on your face, you should be fine
@@rosshoyt2030 oh okay.
Maybe I should change the way I play then because it's happened that a few times already, my mouth has gotten sore, especially my front teeth hurting now and again.
I’ve played trumpet a long time and I’ve never heard of this. What?
@@stephenbeck7222 grain of salt.
The people I'm referring to are old people, mid to late 50s, and older. And they're about a handful.
Second
Maynard Ferguson did it first haha
First
J A P 🇯🇵 N E S E P P L
Hey, UA-cam. This isnt fucking star wars. I want a refund
You can tell by his expressions, this performance was not up to his standards or expectations. It was ok...
