Great video Izzy! Thanks for sharing all this information with us! Hope MJ is doing well! Stay safe and healthy!
Thanks Ramon! Im doing well. :) - MJ
Love you guys. Very informative and very useful information for us “ soon to be” newbies. I appreciate all of the useful information that you share, Thanks
Thanks for the kind words.
Thank you Izzy! Thus all good to know. I like the smaller WiFi internet. That white one. I would use that one. Thank you so much for this video. Have a great day and weekend. Tell Mj hello. See you both soon!
Thanks for watching Sherri
Izzy
Excellent, informative video!! So far I’m just a weekend warrior so I use my AT&T data (unlimited) plan. I just use it for Netflix and U-Tube so it works just fine for me. Say hi to the pups for me!!🐾🐾
Glad you have something that works well for ya. Thanks for the doggie love Lori! lol - MJ
Great video, Lzzy, thanks for sharing. We are planning a RV trip for next summer. Someone recommended the Pepwave router, eg. Transit Pro, a bit pricey. What is your opinion on these Pepwave routers? Do you have any suggestions that will be better? Thanks.
Hi Dizzy , my company uses a RV to do community outreach in underserved neighborhoods. We need high speed internet/Wi-Fi to connect to about 20 devices. What setup would you recommend? We operate in a city environment.
Very well put together and informative video. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you
Great information unpacked in good order. Thank you!🙌
Thanks for watching and the comment
Izzy
Good "basics" video for those starting to do research. Probably should have mentioned "priority" as some 3rd party sellers have a lower priority than others. In moderate to high traffic times you can find yourself with no data. Example: AT&T business is higher than postpaid AT&T customers, postpaid has higher than pre-paid. Pre-paid has higher than data sold to 3rd parties resellers. So if all those types of accounts are on the tower, traffic is moderate to high, and you are on the lower rungs of priority, you can find yourself without the proverbial "musical chair" waiting on your turn at the trough even though you have "unlimited" and arent' being throttled. So many hidden catch 22's to cellular.
Not an issue with our provider. Thank for watching and the comment
Great information as usual. Cleared a lot up for us.
Chief
Thanks Chief
Great shirt, love my Olights 👍👍
Great information Izzy. Thanks!!
We tried to make it as simple as possible!! Thanks for watching and the comment Tom
Izzy
First, Izzy - as a fellow NJite, thanks for a great channel with great down to earth advice! Having been born and raised in North Jersey myself, I think I have a pretty good idea where you and MJ live, but my lips are sealed...LOL. Down to business, my wife and I just bought ( I know, I know), a new Phoenix Cruiser Class C so that we can snow bird between our homes in NJ and FL, as well as take trips. We had an old large truck camper (1988 Real Lite !!) but it needs a lot of work, as does the truck - and we need to be able to move our fur babies with us - you get the picture. We are both retired now so it seemed like a good idea at the beginning of 2020 - who knew!!!!
While the coach overall is a good one, we have had some nightmares with the dealership - who would have thunk it! We also ran into some defective parts - probably chinese! I am thinking of starting my own channel just to vent - so watch out Endless RVing..... just kidding!
Oh, yeah, my question.... I have been digesting every vid on RV internet I can find and have managed to only confuse my self - however yours was most helpful. I like the simplicity and scaleability of the MOFI 4500, but am not sure it that would be my best route for basic TV streaming and internet while on the road. We don't need to work from the road - those days are over.....YEAH!!! .... but would like to have some connnectability (is the a word?).
Izzy - HELP!
Sincerely, A retired NJ civil servant
Hi Alfred, we only use the Mofi as a backup unit at this point. Our main router is from a small company we have been using. You can email use and we will provide the contact info. Congrats on your retirement and new RV purchase
Great video trying to decide what to do for my rig thanks
Awesome glad it helped. - MJ
Thanks for sharing. We’re still a young UA-cam channel, do it’s good to know there are options. We are on the cell phone hot spot option now, but a router may be in our future soon. I’ve saved this video so we can watch it again when we are ready. Thank you. 😊
Cool. Good luck to you! :) - MJ
A very good recap of the internet options. We have tried several. The WiFi booster just did not work for us. The FMCA Sprint WiFi hub has been good. And from PA to AZ and back. Several times. I am going to try the cellular system you noted next.
Good luck!
Very informative, I’m looking to turn my utility truck into a wireless router/hotspot. It has a 5000 watt autonomous power station on the roof, and 5 security cameras…..so I’d like to add a router so the onboard DVR can send live video if I am away from the vehicle, as well as providing wifi for my cell phone when I’m in or working near the truck.
I’m not running a UA-cam channel or anything, but will be checking in on the cameras remotely from time to time…..and obviously will be watching UA-cam videos occasionally as well
Great video. Lots of good info. What do people do when they are looking for good internet but are not full time. I'm looking for what people who only have an occasional 3 day weekend ro go out
That’s a personal choice on what best fits your needs. Thanks for watching and the comment
Hi, we are currently using Nomad and we are done with it. Could you send me the information on you current router and plan? TIA
Good information, thanks Izzy
Thanks for watching William. :) - MJ
Great information, Izzy! Thank you to you and MJ for sharing it!!
If you were getting in to RVing now or this summer, what architecture would you recommend? (Budget is able to accommodate quality parts). Would you still get a set up similar to what you currently have........or just hold out for the Space X Starlink?
Safe travels!!
StarLink Mobile is going to be some time out. I would not expect it prior to late 2022
@@EndlessRVing ok...thank you very much!
How's MJ doing? Please tell her hello and I hope she's doing well. You did a great job on the COM info.
Thank you Ramona. There will be a health update video out tomorrow.
What speeds are needed for video conferencing like Zoom or MS Teams ?
I need that for work.
Refer to Zoom's website for minimum speed requirements
Great info thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Very well done. Where can we find the Jet Packs for $50-$100? (my MiFi and Nighthawk were $300+)
Old ones lol. We don’t even use that. We are with a third party now that we get true unlimited no throttle LTE.
Thanks for watching and the comment
Thanks for the wi-fi information we are just starting out Monica&Wally
Thanks for watching glad the video helped.
Izzy
Great info Izzy. We're using the MoFi with T-Mobile Cellular. It's doing great.
We keep it as a backup. Thanks for sharing
Thanks
We just purchased a 2018 Ventana. It appears that it has a WI-FI Ranger, and a Wineguard Connect. I am trying to get internet, mostly to watch tv, and maybe 1 computer. We both have cellular iPads in addition to our phones so we don’t necessarily to run those off the Wi-Fi network. We are in Idaho and embarking on a trip to the DC area next month. I’m having a lot of trouble how these things work together. For that first month should a get a Wineguard plan? I have to determine what Ranger we have. If it’s just for a network it seems redundant to the Wineguard. Don’t quite know where to start. I’m not supper cheap, but don’t want to spend more than necessary obviously. What would you recommend for me just starting out?
Here is what we currently use
Ultrafast RV Internet (NO CAPS/NO THROTTLE) -- Our RV Internet Setup For Work On The Road!

Great info Thank You !! How is MJ doing ??
Coming along. Video out tomorrow explaining. Thanks for checking in Tanya!
Izzy, who is your service provider, please?
Great video izzy at night time I like to watch you tube on my tablet at the campground sometimes service good sometimes not would a roof WiFi antenna work better for me on campsite WiFi thanks Brian
Thanks for sharing
I use a WiFi signal booster antenna and it has performed very well for me at campgrounds that offer WiFi. So far I have not experienced any buffering when streaming movies.
Currently paid for the latest Verizon hotspot with 150G plan for $80/mo. Just purchased weBoost DRIVE cellular booster. 1) If I want to work from the road without limits on my data, who is your 3rd party?...I'd love to be able to do this! 2) How do I know if Verizon is still throttling my data...my understanding is they will not throttle my data until I reach the 150G, is this true?
Thank You
What about if I just hook my iPhone to my tv by an hdmi cable and just use my 3g, 4g or what ever is available besides my hotspot?
You can do that also
Good stuff
Subbed and shared.
Capo, 5x Amazon AWS CERTIFIED
Awesome thanks and welcome to the channel!
I have a dual sim wifi ranger everest edition on the way .
Izzy who is your internet provider great video on internet I use Verizon Mifi hot spot and it’s constantly running out of data
email us for that info
It seems to me that an important question was missing: the antenna needs to point precisely to the nearest satellite, which is in constant movement; So the antenna also needs to reposition continuously?
If you are referring to starlink I believe the antenna is stationary. I would refer to the starlink website to answer your questions.
We have found no Ohio State Park and none of the private parks we've been to in Ohio this year have wi fi.
I have a Data plan with my phone through Verizon. I need wifi for our Firestick. Will the Firestick connect to the Verizon Data on our phone?
If you are setup as a hotspot yes
When you talk about RV internet you do not specifically mention streaming TV and if the device handles things like UA-cam TV. As RVers, we do need access to mail, text, web browsing but at night we stream TV. Which device and plan works best for users like us?
yes we only stream tv on our rv
Sat Internet is also very subject to rain fade and high latency.
Yes it is. Thanks for sharing
Izzy
Thank you, when I finally get the motorhome or travel trailer I want I will get the info from you that's the best at that time🤔🤔
Sounds good. Good luck! - MJ
BTW, the Starlink service is not mobile according to PC magazine article, you are assigned a cell location and when you leave it ks not available, so mainly for rural homes.
Actually they are in process of changing that now so worth exploring?
Keep in mind it needs a clear view of the sky.
Who makes the un-named router,, send info via PM
Can I ask who is your provider that you are using now?
Email us for that info.
Izzy
So what is the internet system that you are using? I emailed you for the info a few days ago and have not received a reply from you yet.
We apologize we get dozens of emails daily, although we never received an email from you. Check your email today. Thanks for watching
There is a way to fool your cell phone provider into how much data you have used. I wont get into it but the info is out there on how .
Are the router 12 volt? Thanks
Regular wall outlet but you can get 12v option on the Mofi
With your new Prevost all of that new internet comes with it. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
That it does. .LOL Thanks Rick! - MJ
Excellent Video.
What are you seeing say, 5 years out?
Thanks
5g nationwide which will be really really fast. Also low orbit satellite options.
@@EndlessRVing Thats when we will be homeless. Also will wait for more efficient solar technology. Everything changes fast.
What is the current internet you spoke about
They are no longer taking new customers.
I have a question. I have an elderly friend who has cell phone service (Manitoba, Canada). His cell phone does not work in the mobile home they live in - he can get 1 bar if he stands next to a window, so no one can phone him without being sent to his voice mail. He does not do computers or Wi-Fi. What would be an economical solution for him just to boost that cell service into his home? I have had Wi-Fi for years (interenet router) but am a bit confused about cell phone routers. This is a new concept to me.
His best bet is to get a hard wire connection run to his home and a WiFi network set up.
@@EndlessRVing OK. Thank you for your response.
👍👍 Thanks
You got it!
How do I get one of the hats you're wearing?
They are custom made. We may make them available for sale in the future.
Even if wifi is great at a campsite, i would not trust it unless you use a vpn. A lifesaver for us has been t-mobile hotspot. It's available on our personal phone and available on our tablet plan.
I agree about the VPN. Thanks for watching
Can this work in a rural places
Where there is cellular service.
Ok. I have some property in rural washington state that I am wanting to convert a shed into a living space. I am not sure where to start my research.
I just can’t deicide what to get I’m not full time. The winegaurd connect 2.0 isn’t getting positive reviews. I don’t want to spend 1.5 k for a great system I’m in the Winegaurd price range
I would suggest spending on a good setup as you will likely spend more buying multiple cheaper setups. Thanks for watching and the comment
I read winegard forces internet through their servers first ( slows internet ) and it is limited to 2.4 mhz. I have new camper with it already installed but I'm going through different provider.
@@repentfulsinner I’ll probably end up buying the Winegaugd 2.0 it’s better then nothing
👍
Thanks for watching
From the videos I've been watching, it all sounds too complicated. I think I'll stick to my rabbit ears and blu-ray for tv.
Must be selling your email or else they would just post the information on 3rd party providers? Done here.
Terrible thing to assume 😉
"camping". 😂😂
Internet is no longer a luxury. A lot of us use it for work. "Old school" doesn't apply.
Thanks for watching
Do yourselves a favor and buy the $599.00 products and get a subscription because all these cheap ones just a waist of money.
I understand your not a professional but your understanding of wireless is a bit lacking. All speeds are completely limited by how far you are from the source and I doubt campgrounds are limiting how much you can download as WiFi doesn't really have the controls built into it to do that. WiFi is completely adhoc where as cellular isn't. As for cellular be careful with claiming such and such a speed. You were lucky to get 85M and I doubt you got that other then at a burst because an algorithm in cellular provides you with bursts unless your the only person on the cell site. The antennas you speak of are worth something if you have to upload your videos while on the road and I understand that. From a purely technical point of view the cost versus performance is probably not for most people. The antennas don't help if your in a bad area to begin with. In other words those antenna give you from bad to less bad and we are lucky here on the east coast but see how all that stuff works say out in Indiana or South Dakota or even upstate NY, NH Maine, etc. The more mature networks of AT&T and Verizon will give the best performance nation wide.
We have used our setup all down the east coast, Indiana , Tennessee, PA, WV and beyond. It works. If you are an expert in the field, share that with the RV community in the form of content.
Great information Izzy!!! Thanks
Thanks guys
