So which image do you think will win on Sunday? Describe it in the comments and lets see if you are in tune with the judges!!
Toad with bokeh 3:23
Flies 4:26
Frog 5:01
Spider 5:17
Just wow!! There are some very talented photographers out there. Congratulations to you all.
All spectacular. For me- it’s the snail. The use of light and color is amazing. The image imparts a mysterious dream like quality. Kudos!!!
1st dragonfly, the pink tulip, the chameleon on the pink flower. There are some really great shots here, but those are the standouts for me.
The frog that is the third from the end. Something about the simplicity is absolutely breathtaking for me.
Nice composition!
They are all winners! My favorite, after watching several times, would be the Chameleon on the flower (#13).
Good choice!
Wow, I do not envy the judges, each photo is special!
It's been a spectacular year!
Amazing.. the two White butterflies on purple flower 2:35 Not easy to capture the movement and sharp butterfly in one setting
Great tool and great demostration, surely I will get mine soon!
All photos are great, but i love simon i learn a lot from him!
He is very good! Very nice chap too!
All of the photos are just simply breathtaking! I especially liked the frog in 3:45 with amazing color of green with contrast of black background, I can feel the nature and the most classic color of frog that impressed me the most!
Thats a popular pick I think…lets see on Sunday
Cheers to all the finalists~and big thanks to Pangolin for sponsoring this contest! I’ve watched this first video 3 times…such a great learning “tool” for aspiring photogs-like ME-to closely look at the images and see what sets them apart. And kudos to all the judges for taking what must have been an immense amount of time to pick the winners. My vote goes to chameleon with pink flower…
🎉
Congratulations to all the finalists! Amazing images!
Yes they are!
The photos are absolutely amazing, I thought it was a competition for amateurs, but these were definitely professionals.
All amateurs...amazing eh?
It is amazing@@PangolinWildlife
I know Simon, He is very knowledgeable about photography, camera operations and post production. Excellent choice for a judge.
Glad to have him on the panel
The Camelon with the red flower is INCREDIBLE... My favorite.
I loved the sea horses and spiders.
Great choices. Lovely images both.
A real treat to see so many quality images in so short of time.
Either of the two tiny green frog on a green leaf photos ❤
Well done to all the finalist photographers.
WOW! Kudos to all who have entered. Beautiful work. Good luck. I would need prints on the wall to narrow it down & probably would take at least a few days of re-looking. Beauties. - Rewatched once. Wrote the times down & came up with 8 but wrote a star next to 2 of them. Guessing it is a Fly on Yellow Flower at4:32 &, the Frog photo at 5:00. Good luck to all.
Thank you.
The bee flying to the flower.
Good pick!
All winners...stand outs for me are: gold color snail, blue frog in water & gray toad close up in tree. Thank you for sharing these beautiful images. I'm 80 yrs. old & still enjoying photography... since 1986. Lots of Nikon cameras. 😁
We are so happy to hear that our videos are bringing you so much joy! And I am happy to say that this is the first of our finalist videos for our Pangolin Photo Challenge 2023, with many more on the way.
All fabulous images and congratulations to the photographers! My choice is the spider with the headless fly, and that fly head off to the side. Such an incredible moment to capture!
All photos are wonderful ! But since we need to say our preference -my vote goes for the snail 🐌 - the use of light in thst picture is stunning
A truly breathtaking image.
So many incredible images, all exemplifying the beautiful small creatures that share the world with us. It will be difficult to choose a winner.
But if you had to chose one?
Fabulous collection of images, congrats to all the finalists! My vote is for the first Spider...wow!😼
wow indeed.!
Wow I don't envy the judges. They are all winners, but I do like the sand crab.
Its a tough job this year!
All of the finalists are amazing
Arent they just!
Amazing images - I really like the frog on the horizontal leaf (3 rd images from the end)
Nice choice Bennie!
Amazing images - seems a pity to have to choose but for me it is the bee in flight approaching the flower - crisp and perfect
Good choice!
Amazing images,congrats to all.
Thank you for your comment. All entries have been phenomenal.
Wow! the images are all stunning, so it's hard to choose just one. The photo at 3:24 is at the top of my favourites list.
Wow, what an absolutely incredible selection of images, I do not envy you judges at all!!
For me personally, I love the Tiny Chameleon at 2:40 / the Bug drinking from the dew drop at 3:40 / the tiny Seahorse at 4:04
That said I believe any one of these could win they are all amazing!
Well done to all the finalists.
What a treat to see these amazing images. I loved the first dragonfly, the bee with the daisy, the spiders and the seahorses, but my favorite was the chameleon with the pink flower. Thank you for sharing. It isn't often we get to see these many of these creatures.
We sometimes forget about the small stuff; that's what makes this challenge so unique.
Stunning…such talent. Hard to choose. Snail for me.
Fantastic work, something to aspire to.
For me, it is between the little bee approaching the stunning flower or the chameleon on the Protea flower....but I wouldn't want to be in the judges' shoes for this!
Thanks for sharing!
For me, the winner would be the spider eating the fly, with the flys head off to the side (shown at the end). It really made me say wow.
We could not agree more. Stay tuned for Sunday as we reveal the winner of the Small Stuff.
Many amazing shots there. It’s going to be difficult to pick the best one.
It really is!
Superb entries, hard choice!!
Hard indeed.
My vote is for the first sea-horse.
I like em both!
Underwater macro...tricky!
My picks are: The 1st chameleon, the frog in the branch, the close up spider and the chameleon in the shadow...
Nice list...lets see on Sunday!
My favorite, the chameleon on the pink flower.
Nice choice.
I like the snail image. Lowly creature gets the royal treatment.
The second photo (at 1:23) is very intriguing but I can't quite make out what is going on. I tried to access the original 2023 entries gallery to look at the description, but it seems that is no longer available online. So what is happening here?
The amazing moment depicts a vine snake hunting a Malabar gliding frog. The frog, entangled with the snake, hangs from a tree branch above a pond. James Godber skillfully photographs the frog, seemingly focused on a fly while battling for survival against the vine snake.
Thank you. It was an incredible sighting to be able to witness. Some days we are extra blessed. 😊
The very first picture was great
In no particular order ;-)
Some really great images that really showcase the beauty of the “small stuff”! Not sure I’d have included a squirrel in the category but maybe I missed something 🤔. Glad I’m not deciding.
We did say smaller than a tennis ball! Its a very small chipmunk!
@@PangolinWildlife Fair point! I did miss something! That is indeed a tiny chipmunk!
Which lens do they use for macro wildlife photography
We will publish the top images with camera and settings info after Sunday’s show. Stay tuned
Sand Crab!!!
Lovely!
Definitely 3:28min, just great 🥰
🤗
Image 3:28 frog with insect.
Yes, the finalists are all great. For me there are two number one… the frog in the water and the cancer on the beach 🙌👌
I am going to assume crab ;-)
thank you… crab on the beach 😅
No1 = The frog in the water.
Nice choice
Dragonfly on a twig, 3:15 - spectacular 💪
Great shot!
Best spider with beheaded fly
Thanks, Ramiro. The beheaded fly image has certainly been a favourite. We will be revealing the winner this Sunday. Stay tuned!
I didn't actually see a stand out winner.
Too many good ones!!!
Wow, amazing clicks...Love it
Thanks!
@@PangolinWildlife You are welcome
I think some of those pics are not true 1:1 macro
Not a macro contest...small stuff....with a healthy dose of macro...the rule is subject needs to be smaller than a tennis ball.
Thank you
