  • Significant progress with the Overland Camper build. I have installed the storage and kitchen inside the Land Rover Defender. It's a big improvement, and now it looks like an actual camper. This is not the final result, there's still a lot to do, but I'm really happy with how everything worked out!

    Very nice setup but pretty dark if you ask me. The only advantage with dark colours is that you can't see the dirt so much. Happy build. Best Regards, David

      Thank you! And that's exactly why I painted everything "dirt grey" 🤪

    It looks great, I think until the picture is complete, maybe you have to paint green inside to white,
    waiting for the next, good luck

      Thank you!! Your right, this is far from finished, but I'm getting there. I will cover all the 'green' with wood so you won't see it anymore 😎

    Eric. Just found you and watched everything. Great fun and great editing! I got the same as you but I’m not interested in knowing how things work! A new Ineos Grenadier it had to be. See you out there! Hooda Medarr!

    This looks awesome! I assume the induction plates, microwave and dishwasher are next ;)
    You’re making great progress and I am really looking forward to seeing this build develop. How are you going to treat the top layer of the worktop?

      Thank you man! Hahaha well... I have a fridge. Does that count as well?
      I'm thinking about a) 2k epoxy or b) a vinyl wrap. For now, I'm opting for plan b.

    Quality workmanship.
    Does the vehicle drive at the moment or is there mechanical work yet to do?

    • @HaveFunAndGo
      @HaveFunAndGo  2 роки тому

      TY! I'm really happy with the result! There's still some mechanical work I have to do, but first... the interior 😅

    Hello Erik
    In your build, I don’t see if (and how) you are “attaching” any cabinets or other parts of the build to the frame of the Defender. Are you just relying on the weight to keep things in place?

      Hi Djamel! The wooden floor panel is bolted to the car's frame (where the original back seat used to be attached), to which I screwed some of the interior parts. The panels for the lounge area and the storage space are bolted to the car's body. I drilled two holes on each side of the wheel arch part. I'm not attaching too many interior parts directly to the car's body or chassis because there's always some flex, meaning that the interior will flex as well. I don't want that haha
