Especially Ten Hag is an absolute disgrace in terms of vision & communication...... Arne knows 110% for sure how he wants Liverpool to play - on the ball and off, in different systems. Hi, I have two qns: Q.1 Last season Trent often had to rush back half the length of the pitch, to defend, when we lost possession and we were outnumbered or in a panic. Arne seems to have cracked that problem, so far, although it's only three games in. Is it because Trent is spending less time in the final third, or tracking back a bit, if the ball is over the other side, to avoid being caught so far forward, or are our midfielders covering better, or are we giving fewer balls away? Q.2 Last season, and in seasons past, Robbo (Andy Robertson) would often advance into space on the left, quite far forward, creating excitement and probably fear in the opposing defence and fans, but then look up, not see a pass on, and just pass the ball back losing all the momentum he’d created. I thought this was a big waste of time, energy and a potential advantage lost. Yes, we kept possession, but should players have been drilled to follow and support him when he does that?

For the whole 90 minutes against Forest, I noticed Liverpool was pressing hard without paying full attention to defend well. Looks like Klopp tactic is coming back. A team can't press a parking bus team for 90 minutes without effective creating scoring chances! In the last 3 games, most goals were scored through swift counterattack

I saw a x Liverpool player I think it was Steve Nicol moaning about how Liverpool were training In pre season saying what's that all about. I could be wrong but one pudit for American TV said it. But I was like disagreeing with the pundit only because Klopp used run the legs of players in pre season and we got alot of injury because of it. From the content I saw from Slot they were doing 6 minutes jogs and I feel thats more easier on the legs and you'll get less injurys. So yeah iv been very impressed by Slot he aint arrogant or patronising. United has been a shambles for a decade now. Liverpool have had a stable team, and a stable basis. It takes a lot of time to create such a stable team like Liverpool. They only got Chiesa this year, because the team is that good already. Salah is world class which also just wins a lot of games, especially in a stable team that has been performing together for so long. United will be back, but it will take some time for the injured players of last year, plus the new players to become a good team. United will be really good when it finally clicks between all the players and the system EtH wants.
He said it takes a long, long time to install his preferred teamplay, so his explanation plants trust in the heads of the media and the club reigning(for now) and that is what he wants to establish, knowing that other coaches cannot easy copy his approach. Smart fellow.
To know Man Utds system from last season compared to this tells you how much he looks at tactics. Considering he was in the Dutch league last season, it shouldn't have even been on his mind. Slot isn't spilling his tactical secrets, his explanations are only proving that he is amongst a few that uses Common Sense, the passing distances is common sense, LB and RB not bombing forward leaving acres of space if the ball gets turned over is common sense..Klopp lacked common-sense the fanbase was too far up Klopps backside after he won the EPL to see Klopps many flaws be it tactical instructions, or formational set ups and even subs..all Slot is showing is when you are a manager at this level of the game, the knowledge he is showing should be a given with all managers managing at this level, Pep as good a manager he is his job was made far too easy with all the piss poor managers managing the remaining EPL clubs, all hiding behind the excuse "Pep has a open cheque book at City" so have United and Chelsea and look at the state of them. They only got Chiesa this year, because the team is that good already. Salah is world class which also just wins a lot of games, especially in a stable team that has been performing together for so long. United will be back, but it will take some time for the injured players of last year, plus the new players to become a good team. United will be really good when it finally clicks between all the players and the system EtH wants.
