Thank you, Ruben Garcia After fixing that leak, a new one popped up on the backside of the roof shortly after we had to get a new roof. Thank you for watching it.
Hi Timothy, Thanks for asking. I just used the weight of the tiles to hold it down. I was looking for a quick fix. It will stay there unless you have a steep slope. The foam the pros use is an adhesive type foam. Here is a link. www.jlconline.com/products-tools/spray-foam-adhesive-for-roof-tiles_o. Good luck and happy patching.
Builders put nice looking tile roofs on homes, but the underlayment and what is underneath is poor quality...it rips, tears, disintegrates...and then leaks.
@@DavidOldenburg1 Hi David, Our HOA requires us to have a tile roof. That roof has since been replaced. But you are right the underlayment is poor quality. If I had my choice the roof would be either metal or asphalt shingles. That roof was only 17 years old. Thanks for watching!
It seems strange to me that the American style of roofing . They seem more intent to fit layers and layers of paper or ice shield. When if the tiles are at the right pitch with the right overlap it shouldn't get to the paper . The tiles are there to keep water out . And fitting tiles directly onto roofing paper should and is a no no .
Hi Lucky, Well, I have had other leaks that wear on the inside. And I patched those too. It got to be too many patches so, we eventually had to put a new roof on. Will you please send me some manly socks.
Good job brother
Thanks for watching.
Just curious… Why not add more layers of underlayment for added leak protection?
Poor
Great job

I agree. They should use the batten style. Thank you for watching.
Lucky the leak wasn’t inside. What’s with the girly Sox ???? I really don’t get this new style.

Best there’s mold spores in your ventilation system. Other than that, great job, you got it patched at the bare minimum.
OK.
The weight will keep the tile there until a hurricane shows up.
Yes, you are right. Thanks for watching
