Would you happen to know how to test the connections with a regular multimeter?

Yes mate you can check it 😉you can check the positive side by positive leads and put the negative leads on negative of the battery and the negative side by resistance check and continuity 😉

Started my wife’s Toyota Camry and noticed the 2 fans not moving. Do these only come on when radiator is too hot (overheating)?

It will on and off mate the fan but if you turn aircon on it will always spin 😉

Would there be enough room to replace the fan assembly without removing the hoses?

It’s hard maté because the 2 fans is joined together 😬 you need to remove the coolant hose 😉
