Hi! I'm Keiko- sorry, I didn't change my profile from my farm one. Yes, of course. Much of the natural "wool" sold comes from sheep. I am guessing you are asking about what wool to get to make your pillow (vs how to process raw sheep's wool to make a pillow?) You would want to look for clean wool batt (from sheep) This will look like it comes in larger sheet like form vs roving which looks more like a wool rope form. The batt is made by aligning the washed clean wool on a large drum carder and comes off in layers of aligned wool. This is the easiest form to use to make pillows since you can fold it or roll it to size. The wool with higher crimp (crimpy wool looks less smooth and straight, so more curly) will have more plushness and springy feel to it. This actually is more related to the breed of sheep so best to look for lofty crimpy wool by description as I don't raise sheep and don't know which breeds would be crimpiest. Does this help? Let me know if you have more questions. If you need to process it from raw sheep wool- you'll need to wash it really well. Sheep has lanolin (oil) so you can use dish soap which acts like a degreaser. Once dry- fluff the wool apart by hand or with a wool picker. Then you will usually need a home small drum carder to align the fiber. Good luck and have fun!
