@@hsap2223 I know the Stones are kindergarten rock. I totally hear you - Zappa, King Crimson, Mahavishnu, Santana, Chic Corea, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Debussy, Mozart - there are countless artists that went so much further than the Stones in so many dimensions. But the Stones have a simplicity, purity, accessibility, and connection to Black music that I love. The Stones throb. It's sensual. Real. Raw. But, again, I'm with you, the Stones are really basic. As a guitarist, I will say Keith Richards is an underrated guitarist. He IS the THROB. And Mick and the others GET Richards. And to me that's what a rock band IS. Sensational, gritty guitar.
I agree bout what was said, than Keith Richard is such a great tasteful guitarist. But he's multidimensional, not like a shredder who only knows how to shred. Keith is a connaisseur, I mean he can play, rock, 50's r'n'r, blues, soul, 50's r'n'b, reggae, funk and country. He's also a ballad specialist(he knows Judy Garland tunes. He's always interested by all kind of music. The guy spend a lot of time just listening. He's a master of the different ways of listening (marvelous 80's interwiew in Guitar Player about what and how to listen to music) And he's a huuuge composer. What a fuck*** ARTIST! And Jagger. Here's Sir Jagger, a rich man But he comes from street level school of singing. A spontaneous, natural voice, not trained like the voice athletes of today. So even if he tried he can't escape of that level. So this very rich man is connected to the street level of his youth. What a paradox And he's a so good lyricist, a world class stage performer, he owned the stage There's a lot of great rock musicians down on earth But excuse me, everything bout the Stones is so special. I can't see who's so exciting this last 60 years Long live the Stones!
I agree with the sentiment. can't compare The Stones to The Beatles as Beatles are more pop. In any event The Who didn't sound anything like The Stones who didn't sound at all like The Beatles who sure didn't sound like The Kinks who damn well didn't sound like Van Morrison who doesn't sound like Pink Floyd who doesn't sound like Dylan who didn't sound like The Byrds. Now that we are through with the comparisons. Let's just call it Effin' Great!
Why? They don't wish you good health in their 2019 production of a corona lock police state song predictive of 2020. Allow me to tell you some of the next few steps in this future production, food shortages, the "second wave" which will likely be contamination of food supplies and then just the Bolshevik take over of Russia and the Ukrainians, grandma goes on the dinner table. Fido the next day maybe.
Same here Peter. I've loved rock n roll since '56 when Elvis exploded with "Hound Dog". As a 6 year old it was light a nuclear blast. And no one has scratched my itch over the decades like the Stones. They keep defying the odds - especially Keith still living - and refuse to stop growing and recording great, sometimes transcendent, but always enjoyable music. Keep rolling boys; we need you now more than ever.
I'm 33 and you guys lived in a time I'm really jealous about. Man concerts in 63 must be awesome. No smartphone, no internet just good music, sex drugs and rock and roll 🤘.

Your generation was truly blessed to be in such an explosive time for creativity. Luckily I’ve still managed to see bands from the last 50+ years who still tour, some with completely original lineups too. I’m taking it all while I can!
The under-production of this song is an absolute plus. I love the stripped-back arrangement. The drum sound is glorious. It sounds like the Rolling Stones. Bloody beautiful.

Never doubt it: The Rolling Stones are the greatest rock 'n roll band in history!
If you ignore frank zappa and the mothers, king crimson, mahavishnu orchestra and many more than sure theyre great! Enjoy your New world Order music
Zeppelin
@Joey Balas Right on Joey. Thanks for backing me up on this one!
He's a master of the different ways of listening (marvelous 80's interwiew in Guitar Player about what and how to listen to music)
And he's a huuuge composer. What a fuck*** ARTIST!
And Jagger.
Here's Sir Jagger, a rich man
But he comes from street level school of singing. A spontaneous, natural voice, not trained like the voice athletes of today. So even if he tried he can't escape of that level. So this very rich man is connected to the street level of his youth. What a paradox
And he's a so good lyricist, a world class stage performer, he owned the stage
There's a lot of great rock musicians down on earth
But excuse me, everything bout the Stones is so special. I can't see who's so exciting this last 60 years
Long live the Stones!

Dear Stones, my wishes for good health to you and your families.
Beautiful unselfish sentiment.

I first started rockin with the Stones in 63 ..I'm now 70 and can't believe I'm now listening to their latest release..Absolute legends
I’m 34 and can’t imagine any band from my era with the same staying power where I’ll be 70 and still watching them live. Your generation was truly blessed to be in such an explosive time for creativity. Luckily I’ve still managed to see bands from the last 50+ years who still tour, some with completely original lineups too. I’m taking it all while I can!
