My best goalkeeping moment was when the starting goalkeeper decided not to show up, allowing me to start, because at the time, I was a backup. This was my best moment because i kept a clean sheet, and my team gave me more respect, even though I was the only freshmen on the team. So because of this, I later was able to start for the team.

Saving my first penalty ever in an important league match. I dove to my left and saved it with my right foot. All experienced goalkeepers know what their first penalty save felt like... Unbelievable moment....

Don't Buy The sun I think you are doing right thing diving after the ball is kicked but it is really difficult technique I know that because my classmate is a really good goalkeeper and he does the same thing.

I saved a pen in the last minute of a game for my my team and they got a rebound and the ball hit me in the face and broke my nose but my team still won 1-0 and I was so happy even do Id have to wear a mask for the rest of the season💯💯😈👍💙🇮🇪

My best goalkeeper moment was a rainy day, I played a match. First I made a very great save op in the corner, but it's rebounder out to my opponent, he shouted down in the right corner but I went in split and saved it!
My best goalkeeper moment was my first year in high school. I didn't play a lot in the season because of a mistake in our first game. I got to play a very important game because our starting keeper was injured. We were undefeated. We were tied 1-1 in the final 2 minutes when the other team crossed the ball and the striker had an open goal. I ran and made the biggest dive ever and Palmed the ball over the post. Everyone was celebrating because we were still undefeated.
About my favorite goalkeeping moment....
It was the first match for me in a new team and it was a semifinal in a tornament that had been going on for several months.
It was down to the last 2 or 3 minutes of the game when the oppositions forwards got away and was running towards the goal, my defenders almost caught him but he manages to shoot from just outside of the box. The shot was good and went towards the right upper 90 when i dived and made a clean one hand save.
We won the game with 2 -1, and it was the best feeling ever.
My best goalkeeping moment was when I saved my team in the finals on penalties I'm so proud of this because I was never the best with penalties

My best goalkeeping moment was at a game where we were down 0-1.
Their striker gets free of our last defender and we are 1-on-1, I am in my goalkeeper stance and reader to react to the shot. The defender shoots towards the far right post, and I almost couldn’t touch ball, but I did - with the tip of my fingertips. When I lie on the ground I thought they scored, but then I heard my teammates shouting my name, the ball had just rolled past the right post. I was stoked I really thought the ball went in - it was the best feeling ever.

My best goalkeeping moment surprisingly has to be after my team was down 6-1. At that point, I didn't care about the outcome and decided to relax and enjoy the game, for it was a playoff and would be the last of the season. After my change in attitude, I had the best save of my life, pulling a long shot from the upper right corner. I had nearly 20 saves on the day. Love the channel Unisport, great to see goalkeeper content. Keep it up!

well my top 5 is the nike confidence glove(don't know if they still makes it but it is so brillian), Reusch g2 ultimate otho-tech, adidas ace PRO, umbro neo PRO and uhlsport eliminator. My best memory was when i got the chance to play with the A-team. I was the first of my age(15) to move up to the big guys. And that feeling was just amazing, I was in heaven. And i still played parallell with the p01 team, wich don't exist anymore due to lack of players. But when I got to sit as an sub on the A-games I was having the time of my life, and I still do have that same feeling every time i step into the lockerroom. Once again, thank you guys for an awesome chanel and keep up the good work!
I just recently became involved in the world game thanks to my stepsons. I was a catcher in baseball, and not too mention at my age I'm not exactly the fastest on the field anymore. However, I wanted to play and learn the game, so I thought it to be a perfect spot, I can use my hands and feet. The first pair I bought were a very cheap pair and I was very unhappy. I've gone to buy many brands and the Puma EVO Power have been very amazing. I've heard many great things about about Uhlsport and couldn't wait to share my story. Keep up the good work. Thanks!
love the reviews so helpful and the best part of being a goalkeeper is picking out a nice new pair of gloves but the best gloves are really expensive in the UK, my best experience as a goalkeeper was helping my team get promoted for the first time in the clubs history, I only conceded 17 goals all season and surprised myself with some of the top draw saves I made even against teams that were just hitting shot after shot and lifting the trophy at the end of the season and creating history is the best feeling in the world!!

My best goalkeeping moment started with a mistake I made, we were winning 2-1 in the final of a cup, in the 90th minute the opposition had a corner, it was swinging into the goal I tried to tip it over the bar but instead it went onto the bar and fell to their strikers feet and they equalised. I knew I messed up but in extra time I saved 2 break aways and got us into penalties, where I saved 3 penalties and won the game!!!! unisport is my favourite football channel on youtube and as a goalkeeper I'm over the moon with the fact that you guys are starting to introduce goalkeeper videos!!! keep it up ⚽⚽⚽

I have very many good moments, but one one of the best was when I kept cleen sheet in qualifies. We lost first game 5-1 away, but then we won second game 4-0 home. Keep doing good job Unisport! :)

This actually happened during our indoor season (because there's snow on the ground half the year here in Canada). But first I need to give you a bit of background info. About a month before my team's provincial final tournament I went up for a high ball and was involved in a collision in mid air. The guy who was going for the ball hit me directly in my raised knee and at first he seemed to have gotten the worst of it but in the next couple weeks I started feeling a sharp pain in my lower back. About a week before provincials I started getting sciatica (a sharp nerve pain that runs down the back of your leg) and if any of you have had sciatica before you know how bloody excruciating it can be. Now of course me being a goalkeeper I'm not just going to sit out because like all goalkeepers I'm stubborn as hell when it comes to my position on the field. So in preparation for provincials I went to the chiropractor twice, got a massage, IMS, physio, pretty much everything that was physically available to make my back not feel like death. Now here's the real story, with how the draw worked out the first team we were playing at provincials we knew was going to be the biggest challenge of the tournament. The game was going pretty well for the most part, my back line was solid and the only real saves I had to make were some routine collapse dives (which still hurt a ton). They did end up scoring off a bad deflection but there was very little anyone could do about that one. So by the last minute of the game we were up 2-1 and our sole focus was defending. Now with indoor soccer in Canada we have big scoreboards with the time that counts down so we don't have stoppage time or anything, once the buzzer goes that's it. So right at the end of the game one of their players broke through our midfield and fired a shot bottom corner to my right. I don't know how I got there but I ended up making a full extension fingertip save and literally less than 3 seconds later the buzzer went for the end of the game. It wasn't until after a proper MRI that I found out that in addition to the sciatica I was playing with a partially broken back. I didn't play in goal for 4 months after that but we went on to win the tournament with someone else in goal so it was sort of worth it! :P Moral of the story: don't break your back!!!
Now onto my top 5 gloves, this one's difficult because I've only used 2 types of gloves in the last 4 years but I'll fill the rest in with what I think my favorite would be :P

4. Puma evopower protect 1
5. Nike gk vapor grip 3
I know some of you might be wondering what kind of madman I am only putting essentially flat palms on my list but here's why. I used to wear negative cut gloves but for some reason I was constantly jamming my fingers, idk what it was but after a year or so of taping different fingers every time I played I gave up on them. As for rolled fingers I just hate them. My problem is that you barely get any actual latex on the ball, because the glove is matching the curvature of your fingers the only part of your fingers that actually touch the ball are a thin strip of latex running down the middle of each finger. With a flat palm you can get up to twice the width of each finger touch the ball resulting in almost twice the grip in my opinion. Flat palms don't necessarily feel as cool or snug on your hands but as for catching the ball and holding on to hard shots they're by far the best performing for me. That being said, if I were to win would I be able to get the flat palm sells gloves? Not to try to mess with the giveaway or anything but I just don't see myself wearing the uhlsport gloves with how snug they fit. Keep up the good work unisport 👍🏼❤️

My best goalkeeping moment was saving a penalty in my first match as a goalkeeper in the quarter final of the cup :) Will never forget that moment, and the excitement that came from it
My best goalkeeping moment was definitely when I played a six-a-side game with my college friends. It all started with a double save right in front of goal, after which I decided to take off down the field with the ball, and along with one of our strikers had some beautiful one-two play to in the end assist him for a game winning goal.
This is a great video, and I think that Unisport Web TV could do more videos about goalkeeping, with Katrine.
My personal favourite moment may have been when we won our futsal-league and I made some very good saves!
Playing our state championship match in my home town. Being tied 3-3 all the way through both extra time periods we had to go into penalties. The final shoot out score was 9-8 with myself saving the last shot and winning it all for my team. This kept our undefeated season alive and in the books.

My best goalkeeping moment was my weekend league final. The game went to penalties and I saved all of them. My coach gave awards at the end and I won mvp of the season
My best moment as a goalkeeper was a 86th minute shot straight top bins and i just got there with my fingertips and the ball went crossbar and out. Greatest feeling i have ever experienced while playing football for sure. I´d love to win those gloves because my adidas Ace ones are getting pretty worn out. I am a goalkeeper myself i use the Adidas ACE and sometimes i buy the Uhlsport i love them both so i am very united with what Katrine is saying. but my best moment i had a streak last year were i have saved 7 pens i a row (We had very aggressiv defenders) and it was like the 85 minute we were leading 1-0, they got a pen, i knew this was an important moment so i stepped up, the shot was like all way out to the post and i just got my finger tips on too send it around and the scream that came from my mates was amazing i`ve never been so glad to save a pen it was awesome!!
My best goalkeeping moment was the U15 state cup final and it went to a penalty shootout, it was 5-5 no one had missed yet, then I came up with a brilliant save to my bottom right! The crowd was roaring and it was an amazing feeling. I then took the next penalty and if I scored, my team won! I then buried it top corner and took off my jersey as I ran to the bench celebrating. I love this game. I love goalkeeping.

My favorite brand is West Coast Goal Keeping. Fantastic glove performance with awesome pricing. The designs are varied and you get a lot for your money. I'm a fan of finger stays and having them be removable for GKs that aren't is a great idea. Finally, the freedom of customization on the locking system makes them the perfect gloves in my mind.

I'm a striker so I don't play GK very often. However I do have a great goal keeping moment.
Our keeper didn't show up for the game one week and I drew the short straw and had to go in goal. By the first half we were down 8-0. My team understood that I couldn't keep so they weren't that mad. Anyway we put our defender and ended up losing 11-2
Best goalkeeping moment: Coming from being down 0-1 to winning the game 5-1 against our rivals in our recently concluded tournament. After letting one shot past me in the start of the game, I suddenly came to life, preventing shot after shot, after shot. This included several 1v1's, doing double saves, diving after long shots, and commanding the box, never letting anyone get close. Everything, just so I could help my team win. That game will probably come down as one of the best games I've played, if not the best. :)
I use Sondico gloves with the aqua spine for the fingers they're very very good gloves but the best gloves I've ever had are the puma gloves with finger protection. They are amazing gloves!!
Probably when i scored 2 own goals in the match but then managed to save 2 penalties as well as taking the winning one :P

I've gone back to uhlsport aquasoft plus roll finger for my match day gloves. My training gloves are the adidas ace all round. I was my gloves before and after usage to get the best out of my gloves.
Finally some others goalkeeper contents ! Btw I think my best moment, or one of the best, was some years ago..
I became a keeper some months before the day arrived: that evening the 2001 team (I'm 2002) was without a keeper, so they called me.
That evening I saved at least 15 shots!! (But we lost 6-1, the situation was terrible with the team lol) and soon I played with 2001 for some months..
That's all, not a great story and not a great English lol
My best goalkeeping moment was a double save. The striker shot the ball well placed to the left bottom corner whereas I could deflect it to the post, striking to the left side of the field, followed by a cross which I fisted away. It was a special moment to me because I never did a double save in a game and I was really successful at it. Another special moment was a perfect side-volley that was good enough to count as an assist for a goal :)
I'm playing my first season on the big field and so big goal so as a goaly it was a huge change. Before the season started we had a match against a Team that had already played a season on the big field. We lost 7:0 but in one Situation a oponent was in a one v one against me, I choose a side and jumped right as he shot. He didn't shoot where I jumped but my feet were at the right place and the Ball was refelcted to another oponent. He shot and I choose the same corner as I did before. Lukiely I could catch the ball with one hand and then finaly save it. I was so exited. Good wishes from Germany!

Played my first game of the seson today. I was not going to play because it was a higer division than i usually play in anyway play really well i think we won 3-1 they scored a penalty after the first one was missed, they got to shoot again since i was "of my line" have the adidas ace zones pro now would love to use these ones for matches and them for training, do you think its a good idea to use to different brands?
My favorite Goalie moment is when I made a save off of a pass across the 6 yard box that I made by gong in the splits like Joe Hart or Neuer and cleared it down the field and set my team on the attack and scored. It was so special because at the end everyone was talking about the save and the other coach asked if I would want to play for his team in the next season. The ref also couldnt believe I stopped it because he had the whistle out before it the shot was even taken.

My favorite glove that I use is the Diadora Stile II I love those gloves because they helped me make an important save in my championship match and it changed all my teammates attitudes and we ended up winning 5-2
Great video my best goalkeeping moment is when my team were playing top of the table and we were 6th in the league I made about 10 saves for us to get a 0-0 draw I also got man of the match in that game and that is my best goalkeeper moment.

Growing up goal keeper gloves weren't easily accessible in South Africa about 15 years ago..
My first pair was like $5-10 and I remember keeping it together with lots of plasters using the sticky part for grip.. good old days!!
My best goalkeeper moment is when I played with my old club. I were our first keeper every year, and were always taken out to play a match...but i never felt like i was good and almost quit soccer....but one day after a match (that we lost 5-1) the other teams trainer asked me if i wanted a try out in their club...(have in mind that this team is one of the best clubs in my age class (19), and that my club was not even close to be called one)so after 5 months of training with them i change club, and have never felt more happy and just wait to the session to start
My best moment as a goalkeeper was during a crucial away game. We had to win to stay at top of the table. We were down 1-0 and in the 70 minute they got a penalty. The penalty taker stepped up to the penalty spot and took the shot, I dived the right way and saved it. I heard people cheering and I felt really good. Later on in the game we scored 1-1 and 1-2. When the wistle blew for the last time, we were the winning team.

I currently play in the opdl in Canada but one of my games last year I got 8 saves and was my best peformence ever I was most proud of my one on one with a striker,and he shot with full power and I got lucky as I dived it hit my foot

My best goalkeeping moment is definitely playing in my first championship final. We had done very well through the season and we played very well in the final. Luckily I didn't have to make a lot of saves because my team possessed for most of the game but towards the end I made a great free kick save and a break away save to ensure that we won

My best goalkeeping moments was when I was playing for my school team in the county championship finals and the opponent team had an Arsenal academy striker who was rapid quick and mighty strong, he would get psst my defense so easily no matter what they did. He scored the first goal off a rebound 1 on 1 and everyone was dropping their heads but I felt that we could win the finals, so I kept encouraging my team and we got a goal back to then go to penalties, we scored our first and I saved the penalty that the academy striker took by going to oneside if the goal and making him think that i was out if postion but j was going to ru a snd jump the other way which is what happend. He smashed the ball as hard as he could to the right side if the goal, and I finhertipped it onto the bar. Penalties went on and we had to score one more goal to win as they had missed one of theirs but I was the penalty taker, I always wanted to score a chipped penalty and I did it, evryone went mad and that was my best goalkeeping moment. My team were all lining up for a corner and tried to score but hey failed and the ball was knocked to the other side of the pitch. There were people from my team running back but their striker was there first. I rushed out as he tried to take a shot and saved it, but not fully. It was still rolling towards the goal but slower than before. Luckily my teammate ran back in time and saved it but it rebounded towards their striker again and I had to make a double save. It was amazing

My best goalkeeping moment was when our team got into the City's quarterfinal. I wasn't so concentrate and concede 2 goals in the first 4 minutes ( the first one was on the 20th second). Our team somehow got 2 goals back on the second half and went onto the penalty shootout. I managed to save 2 penalties and won us the match. Still remember how much we cried in that morning :)

My best goalkeeper moment was in my debut for my new club. We where fighting for promotion halfway through The season and at The end og the match i mada a reaction save to secure a vital point. Later that season we got promoted.
I sometimes play goalkeeper, and my best moment was when I scored a goal, earlier in the game, when I was not playing. Then my goalkeeper got injured, and so I stepped in. It was 1-1(they scored before that). Anyways, I stepped in and the opposing team had a 1 on 1 with me and so, I sprinted out of the box and knocked the ball out, and to my team. That was my best goalkeeping moment.
I use nike Grip 3 Green/yellow and they are amazing for grip and protection. The best save i ever done is like the one Buffon did against Germany Euro 2016. And saved 2 penalties in the same game
My best moment was a game all the way in Australia it was winter time it was bucketing down with rain. I was standing a fair bit off my goal line when someone decided to try and chip me, I dove back and just got a hand to the ball, but then it rebounded of the crossbar and the opposition got the ball and shot. I was so happy when it hit the post

My best goalkeeper moment was on a tournament when i saves the last decisive penalty that was sutch so a great moment. Everybody runs to me and were so happy. I cant say it to much that was epic
Quick tip. I am self a goalkeeper and i do not recommend buying the expensive gloves because they are just wiped after a few games/traning sessions. What i recommend is that you find the ones that Unisport has on sale and buy a few of those. Then you can get 3 gloves for the same price. And much better in the long run because new less expensive goalkeeper gloves are better than an used expensive model. But feel free to what you want.

For me West Coast Goalkeeping is where its at.. ive used alot of their models.. and they are by far the best floves i have ever used
My best moment as a goalkeeper was in 2014. I was giving the chance of going to the Den Bosch Easter Cup in the Netherlands with one of my good friends teams, because they needed a keeper, and i said yes. So I had never really played with these guys before, and we start playing against 2 dutch team, where we win the first and draw the second. Then the next day we play the last 2 games in our group. (it was a group stage kind of tournament) It goes pretty good, and we finish as a shared number one in our group with another danish team. So because the tournament was under some time pressure the wasn't much time to figure out who was going to go through to the semi final. So the coach from our team and the coach from the other team, went to the tourmanet office and so they flipped a coin and we were luckily going through by that. So we played the semi final and won it safely 3-1 and then we ended in the final against a really good belgian side. We had seem them play one or to games and they smashed the oppositions each time, so we were a bit afraid of going up against them. We plays the first half without really having a chance, but we keep them from scoring too. At the start of the second half, they play a deep pass to one of their fast strikers, i run out but he dribles right past me and scores, i think '' sh*t we can't score, thats the game then ''. But then i look up on the referee signaling for offside! I don't know to this day if he wanted to give the worse danish team a chance, or he simply got i really wrong, because their player was miles on side. Just after one of our players go into a really bad tackle just by their sideline where there are a lot of the others sides parents. The two players involved gets up and start pushing each other and then the others sides players dad suddenly comes between and starts to choke our player! It was mad right there. So both our player, their player and the dad gets a red card. And then the game ends 0-0, and we go straight to pens. We start and we score. Then they shoot, and i safes it! just by my finger tips. We then again score, and again i safe the pen! Our third shot then gets safed and they score, so now the have a chance again. But our fourth shot then goes in, and i walks up to the ref and ask, '' so if i safe this now, we have won right, '' and he nods and says yes... So with a bit of a nerve i go into the goal, sees the opposition run up to the ball, throws me to the left and gets my hand just down so i can tip the ball away... Our team goes mad in celebration and i run towards them and gets lifted when i reach them. The underdogs won!!! It was a fantastic experience and after this best moment as a keeper i switched clubs to joins the team i was in the netherlands with for good :)

i was goalkeeping in primary school match and striker was real close and i had forgoten my gloves at home so decided 2 kinda of jump and stick my leg out and hope 4 the best and i saved the ball with the back of my heel mid air
My best goalkeeper moment is the feeling after every save. When an opponent runs to your Goal shoots or goes in to an one by one and is super confident that she makes a Goal and you look at her and knows she thinks your are not abel to get the ball. But you did. I don´t know how to describe it, but this feeling that you got when you jump or what ever to catch the ball feels like the world around you stops a second until you catch it and when you look into the countenance of her ... i would say this is my favourite moment as a goalkeeper
My favourite goalkeeper moment was when I played the best team in the league
I Played against a team called BENFICA.
I made about 30 saves that game. The parents of the other team was saying that I was man of the match and when I went inside our teams change room, I got a standing ovation from everybody... including the coaches

My best goalkeeper moment was in the grand final last year. The last time we had played this particular team they beat us, around about the 50th minute they got a penalty and I was really nervous but managed to pull off one of the best saves of my career and ended up winning us the grand final
Best GK moment was two on one.
Saved the first shot at my left post which rebounded to the second attacker to my right.
I threw myself at my right post and took the second shot to the face.

I normally play CAM but our goalkeeper doesn't show up to our games often, so at training they put me in goal and I ended up letting the ball through my legs 😂😂 but now I'm training and becoming great after 1 year when that happened. I'm currently using Mitre gloves but I am looking at the Uhlsport gloves as an upgrade
I would say my fav glove was the 1st adidas finger save glove! THE BEST!!! I wish they still sold them. Cause I would buy them in a heart beat!!

Ive been a Goalkeeper my whole life. Its really fantastic I think. Just having trained your whole life to just throw yourself across the ground. My best save happened this season the other team crossed the ball and volleyed it and it was curving I dont think Ive ever just so high in my life. I landed with the ball on my hands and everyone way cheering and even I was suprised I saved it!
