Hey ken. You dont seem as excited as you were with the twin turbo 2020 GT500. I've always been a turbo guy but this 3.8 whipple sounds like absolutely amazing. It seems to be the perfect street/strip power adder. This 3.8 whipple will be rage on the street. Instant response with gobs of power everywhere. I'd love to see a dyno graph overlay of this car and the twin turbo 2020 GT500. I wonder how much more is left in it.🤔
OOOOOhhhhhhh. I read the video description and was scratching my head. Like damn, I didn't even know Ford made a 3.8L Mustang. But I had to click this thing and see a supercharged V6 put down 1300HP. :D Now I get it. Its the supercharger that's 3.8L. Sitting on a 5.0 motor. That makes more sense.
Love Whipple, sweet #s... however at odds with your normal in depth video breakdown; no specifics on engine build, crank pulley diameter or boost levels. One Ethanol R + ice tank tuning does aid horsepower goals and track times. Can't wait to see back to back 3.0 to 3.8 comparison! Part Duex- engine specs, boost reference (read map or add gauge), e85 & no ice?
Crank pulley is a 20% underdrive. One R and the ice tank is how this car will be run at the track. We'll try to cover some of those other points in the follow up video.
Awesome video! I’ve got a 3.0 whipple. Stock trans currently. Whats the price range for them? To hold a consistent 900-950rwhp. What has been the best torque converter for the 10r?
@Robert Reid It's a GT500 style hood but can't say how it compares for sure with the custom mounted race seats on this car. You will definitely notice the larger cowl
Is there a point of diminishing returns with blower size? Or driveability? If you just wanted a power adder for a 5.0 or 5.2 would you stick with the 3.0 or does it just depend on HP you're after?
I’m getting my 2018 mustang Gt premium in the next month or two , so ready for it. I want the whipple super charge but not this fast just want one that’s decent & I can hang in there with the stock scat packs & Srt . Any ideas fellas & what’s the cheapest way I can go ? Thanks
anyone know how much boost a stock gen 1 coyote motor can handle i’m running 11.5 right now through my whipple stage three i wanna know if i can squeez another pound or 2 out of it
I still have it. It was down for more upgrades and just gets pushed aside when we are busy. Which lately is non stop. But it's registered for FL2K and hope to have it out for that and Mod Nats this year.
Can somebody please tell me if this car has a 20% lower pulley or is it a stock diameter lower???? How is it making so much power with such a big pulley?
@@crodrc51able Hennessey uses a 3.0L Whipple on the Mustang GT builds, and offers a 3yr/36K mile warranty. And NONE of those will be above 1000 HP with warranty.
That is amazing power, but i feel like that dyno room is way too small, would be great to see this company move into a bigger building and let the big power engines breath fresh air
Larger Dyno rooms are actually worse. You want to have a great Air supply and awesome exhaust fans which we have so you can exchange the air in the room at least once during the dyno pull. The larger room you have larger fans you need.
@@PalmBeachDynocan you run a 3.8 Whipple on a 2022 mustang GT with 93 octane on biggest pulley plus aftermarket fuel system in order to have room for growth later on ?
The 3.0 is only 50 state legal with stage 1, and while a nice bump over the factory NA power, to make real hp gains, going to need a upgraded fuel system, some free flowing exhaust, and a few other mods. So state the 3.0 is “legal”, and the 3.8 isn’t, is not entirely correct. In my case, I was looking to increase HP. If I was looking to be compliant in all 50 states, I would have left it stock.
