Alex is an octopus. Trivium has finally found the drummer that meshes with them perfectly, personally and professionally. My favorite play through of his is “Sever the Hand”. I would love to see him do a play through of “In the Court of the Dragon”because I still cannot comprehend how he does what he does in that particular song. Seems impossible for a human being. Not only is he an unbelievable drummer, but he is also a wonderful, humble person 💜. Great reaction! More Trivium please.
Alex was such a huge pick up for them, by far their best drummer and he seriously helped elevate them. Hopefully they hang onto him for ever
I'm late to the party here, but all of his playthroughs are absolutely face-melting, Austin Archey is another guy who's got a very similar skill level, meaning other worldly.

There is a reaction video out there about his drumming and how on point it is. I wish I could remember it , but look up alex bent drumming reaction and it is there. He is great and a super nice guy...granted, they are all fantastic guys!
My favorite Alex Bent playthrough is “The Revanchist”, but the one for “The Sin & the Sentence” is also super impressive.

He's holding the stick properly, you're supposed to hold the sticks with your index and thumb only, creating a fulcrum, that way you can use the rest of your fingers to bounce the stick off of, which is especially important in things like double stroke drum rolls. if you wanted to know

5:07 exactly what he's doing! You hold it with a firm grip in your pointer finger and thumb, and then the rest of the fingers are there to keep the bouncing of the stick in check. If you hold it with all your hand all the time you have NO mobility or fluidity
He is a Beast! You should try watching Aquiles Priester, another beast of a drummer! You wont be disappointed.
I used to say Joey Jorddison from Slipknot was the best but I think Alex Bent from trivium is by far

Alex can go faster, he played in death metal bands before iirc.
Both Priester and George are awesome too, shame with George in Nile is that since it's pretty technical stuff he can't show off his musiciality..

yes he is quite phenomenal but the drummer for infant annihilator is more savage
