1973 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 4x4 | Frame-Off Restored | 3.9L I6
LaFontaine Classic Cars is excited to offer this beautiful Mint Green over Tan 73' FJ!
2023 Frame-Off Restoration highlights included stripping and recoating the original frame and body before being refinished in a Gorgeous Seafoam Green paint! Restoring/replacing all of the trim, lights, latches, lenses, bezels, seals, etc! The interior is also "like new" The front split bench seat and rear jump seats have been reupholstered in tan leather and fitted with replacement foam on refinished frames. Other Interior details include crank windows, black vinyl floor mats, seatbelts, and a new Tan soft top.
The original three-spoke steering wheel crack free and frames a brand new speedometer and gauges for oil pressure, fuel level, coolant temperature, and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows 80 kilometers (~50 miles), Original chassis mileage is unknown.
The durable 3.9-liter F inline-six has been inspected and reconditioned during the restoration the head was resurfaced and rebuilt and a new head gasket was fitted. Power is routed to the rear or all four wheels through a floor shifted manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The front and rear axles were serviced with replaced seals and fluid. Other highlights include: Gray 15″ steel wheels with polished hubcaps wrapped with new 31×10.5″ BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires and a matching spare is affixed to the rear. Four-wheel disc brakes and KYB Excel-G shocks were also installed, and the truck is equipped with manually locking front hubs!
