some many things wrong with these builds in general. battery safety and wiring are your biggest problems. I saw the broken wires when you were assembling. How would you replace the wire if it failed? The acrylic does look unprofessional compared to the rest of the build. Rather use larger foam sheets that you can cut to match or paint the uncovered wood black so it doesn't look like you just used sticky foam. It's not bad, could be MUCH better.

Warum nimmt er die Senkkopfschrauben ? Sieht sCheiße aus, und ganz ohne Senkkopffräser funktioniert es nicht . Die schwarzen Schrauben sind Flachkopf .
Scheisse mit Plexiglass 👎 Schlechte Bearbeitung, Schrauben gucken raus, innen wurde nicht geölt und schwache Box. Rauscht ganz doll. Sonnst Idee ist OK.

Everything is wrong with this construction. The whole sound pipe is almost completely waste due to impedance mismatch. A construction that doesn't start with mathematics and modelling and ends with measurement and tests is nonsense.
Is amazing to see but call that DIY is more than optimistic. That's a pro wood cut with very low electronic on it. I would love to see the King Makes Speakers made at least a small 3 way stereo + Subwoofer wireless, a job for the king that have so amazing machines.
This is totally DIY by any definition, though machines make it easier of course. Making an actually GOOD 3 way speaker from start to finish is something that not many in the world can do. Also if you have the money for decent drivers 2 way can be better sounding.

The distortion you are hearing is coming from the mic being peeked out. It's a problem with majority of phones people typical use to record video, the mics just don't have the range needed to reproduce what is actually going on.
@@JJ_ExMachina Eventhough i doubt that, the speaker has some terrible intermodulation, which is distortion either way. Also, new and must old phones / cameras don't just distort but lower the gain when the input is too loud...
@@therryheab4278 ... You are mistaken, when sound pressure levels exceed the ability of a microphone, the pickup device is physically over driven. That's the distortion you are hearing. No amount of electronic "gain" control can can prevent distortion caused by physical distortion. You can recreate this yourself, push on a speaker till it bottoms out, that is exactly what the sound pressure levels are doing to the microphone. I own an S21 Ultra, and if I place my phone with in a few feet or less of any speaker with a decent amount of excursion, the microphone on my S21 Ultra will exhibit the very same thing you hear in this video. I am NOT saying that the speaker in this video is "perfect" and it certainly isn't an accurate representation of what the source is doing. It however won't be distorted like you hear in the video. Don't believe me??? Do your own tests with your own phone and speakers, prove me wrong.

First how are you determining this, have you completed a frequency sweep and analyzed the results? You can NOT determine the quality of sound through UA-cam videos, the sound files are compressed and truncated to save on bandwidth. It doesn't matter what "quality" you set the video to, the sound package is a separate from the video file... SO no matter if you set it to "4k", you are NOT getting uncompressed full spectrum audio from a UA-cam video. But please prove me wrong, I encourage the learning exercise.

The transparent plastic is not good for the sound very thin . So if you like to see inside , much better the thick one . For good sounds .
