As a divorce attorney I have interviewed lots of women who even 20-30 years later after having an abortion are still unable to wrestle with the sadness and emotions that have haunted them from years- but you never hear from these traumatized women who had abortion years earlier. I wish that side was represented. It is emotionally devastating to a lot of women.
You're absolutely right! I had an abortion 17 years ago and I find myself sad and depressed about it. I was selfish and that's the only reason why I did it. I didn't think of the consequences because it was so easy to do! I think it should be required to have a counseling session before an abortion is done! It's a sadness that can be put away but it comes out of nowhere every so often and I wish I never did it.

Same here. I can blame no one but myself and bad choices. It haunts me at times. I'm not the same person and now have 5 beautiful adult children and 3 grandchildren. Thank Jesus, for his forgiveness and mercy! Everyday. I can not judge these women, but only warn them. If you are not ready for a baby, best option is no sex, second option, birth control.
I lost a baby 37yrs ago and I still have days where I cry for that baby I can't even imagine how one feels that has an abortion which they where in control of and regrets
Having a baby is not just natural but spiritual so a baby who aborts a baby has to deal with the internal consequences that have a lasting psychological effect.
In 2016, I was working part-time earning $500-600/month, sleeping on an air mattress on my dad’s floor and just broke up w my boyfriend when I found out I was pregnant. So glad I kept my baby. I have now been working in Education full time for 6.5 years, have my own place, and am currently starting my own life coaching practice. Above all, my daughter is now a happy, healthy 7-year-old who brings so much joy to my life. She moved me to new heights. Thank you Jesus for the gift of life! 🙌🏼✝️

Im so blessed I found a man who loves kids and that we got married and have 3 of our own. You should see how sweet it is when he plays with them, bathes them, reads books to them, puts them to bed with lots of snuggles. So sad and quite unreal that only 18% of families have what we have. My kids would not be the same without the love they have from both parents.

I was pregnant at 16 and got married at 17. I had two kids a girl. and a boy I have grandchildren and great grandchildren now and I am retired and I love my kids and I love my grandkids great grandkids too. I would’ve never thought of getting an abortion. I’m glad I didn’t. I am proud of my kids.

Then took him to court to make him pay. Didn't count on the judge ordering a DNA test through. Found out it wasn't my brother's kid. As a single mother of 2, a boy and a girl, I taught my children the same about guarding against unwanted pregnancy. My son is 43 and still has no children. It's his choice and I respect it. I would love to have a grandchild by him though. He loves children. He's always been great with his nephew and his 1st cousins child, as well as his friends children. He's super protective. It's just a messed up world right now and he fears bringing a child into this world.

When I tried birth control pills, even the lower dosage I couldn’t take. Then i tried the shot, Depovera (if I spelled that right). It’s not good. Only 1 shot messed me up. It gave me dysplasia on my cervix. Glad I only did one shot because one shot of that takes 18 months to clear from your system.

I raised 2 boys working full time throughout. As a result both are hard working, loving, involved Fathers themselves. I believe single fathers are far more competent in the single parent scenario and often are simply used for their vital input, the spark of life.

I agree they should get a choice, but until we develop the technology to grow a fetus outside of the womb, you cannot force a woman to use her physical body to play host to a baby she doesn't want inside of her, nor can you force her to terminate a pregnancy she wants to keep. As long as the fetus is wholly dependent on the mothers body for survival, she is the one who ultimately decides how that pregnancy proceeds.

Pretty sure a fetus wants to live, as all things living do, it’s pretty simple. Imagine a woman that already made several terrible decisions now being the one in control of your continued existence once conceived.

Who goes through without difficultly, if you say what if, no one would would marry and have a family. Life is at time's tough, for everyone. And what if, the mother courageously gives a baby for adoption, and that child has a wonderful life, I've heard many time's this happens. No one can foresee the future, yet we all celebrate life and do the best we can, no one is guaranteed a perfect life, in fact we all have sorrow's and pain in life, mixed in with joy, that's life.

You have no way to know if any child will grow up in a good home. Many people adopt and give kids a wonderful home, many women like myself can’t have children but if I had adopted a child I would have given it the best life possible.

I’d have more respect for any woman that carries a child to term and then gives up for adoption versus terminate. The entire reason for abortion was to institute a form of eugenics, once in the United States they ironically pushed feminism. It turned into Women can make their own choices including omitting consequence from sleeping with various partners. It has become a tool to manipulate women in both political parties but mainly the left, and now it’s more divisive because the decision has gone back to the states, and women are less reluctant to deal with consequence today more than ever. While life might be complex, you don’t need a fortunate teller to know having a child is extremely difficult, but you can’t know that lesson when you have an easy method to escape consequence with abortion.
