Incredible video! I love landscape photography and I've dedicated some time to learn more about composition, and now I feel that it's time to move forward into color. This video appeared in my recommended videos and I am so glad I saw it. Definitely adding it to my favorites! Cheers Albert!
I love your white balance tip and also selective saturation. For a photo challenge, I would pick a color and walk around my neighborhood looking for that color. Then, I would edit it so only that color was saturated and turned the rest into b&w. I have one shot that I really like composition-wise but just one color looks strange. Now, its time to go back and find that happy medium between all color and no color:) I'm going to take a wild guess that you know Joanna Kustra. Her video on color composition/theory was a real game changer for me since I have spent most of my photo journey shooting b&w film. Color digital is a whole new universe for me:))
Looks very powerful (and thank you for the walkthrough), except I don't understand - in the colour wheel part - how you jumped from the image with the green to the image without it - are you using an eye dropper from that swatch in another Adobe app like Photoshop? I don't use Adobe (Luminar Neo instead) so I'm stuck as to how I can get my colours to follow a swatch which I create in the colour wheel. Any help would be much appreciated! 🙏
Dear Albert; I watched this video, although it was a bit late. It is really useful. I want to ask a question. Regarding the settings you made on the Adobe Color site. Do we send a photo that we have previously finished editing to this site, make the final color adjustment there and then export it again? In other words, are the final colors of the photo shaped after Adobe Color?
An excellent video!!! Many videos on photo editing rely on the AI features of the application to imbue the image with what the algorithms “think” is good. This is fine … I use such photo editing applications. But to have an understanding of Color … its visual impact … emotion … is really fundamental to creating images that “tell a story”.
You use Adobe Color as a guidance. Meaning you can spot distracting colours and then just adjust the colours in Lightroom. It would be super helpful if Adobe actually implemented Adobe Color directly into Lightroom or PS, but unfortunately that's not the case.
Can we maybe have a video about black and white photography? I know this is not usually what you are used to use for your pictures but i was wondering if you could explain when we should use black and white in terms of context or topics but also hot achieve a good black and white effect without ruining the picture or having it look completely fake
Very useful indeed. But Albert, how do I get the chosen image onto the screen, and where is 'Refresh'?. When I select a photo and hit OPEN, nothing happens. No pic.
@@barryashenhurst2071 yes just upload small jpgs. Keep in mind that Adobe Color is juist used as guidance. Refresh, just refresh the internet page. CMD+R
Thanx for this video maybe next about composition and frame about in photography landacape :) Best regards , For the best photographer Albert Dros, SHPETA
Is it really a good idea to crank up vibrance? Doesn't vibrance increase red colors less and thus you don't get a proper representation of the present color.
why is adobe colour not standard in lightroom its a great tool to see the colours and view of the Total image. I am using normal lightroom now and i really doubt. should i take the full lightroom CC, lightroom just slowly become one program with all the tools I think.
Wow! Great tips. This video is a gem! About tip #9, I have an Apple 30” Cinema Display. What is your take on it? Should I convert to BenQ? Or Eizo? Also, what do you think about curved monitors (specifically those for gaming)? Are they ok for photo editing?
This video is one of the most informative image editing videos I have watched on UA-cam.
Thanks really!
Great video, Albert. I really enjoyed the insights. Such an important topic. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Albert, please tell me how to apply the extracted color theme to color grade the photo (that was uploaded to Adobe color) using Lightroom.

I think it really depends what you do. If you print, I would recommend a more accurate display. I don't know about curved displays. Never used one :)
