Dennis you was and always be the heart and voice of Styx to me without you they are just another group thanks for the music and memories ✌️
It was the whole lot of them!
@@JB-xx3dq they were the heart I got the feeling he was the soul of this thing somewhere along the way things soured 🙁 let's hope they can work it out mostly for then God willing then we all win I think
HOW DO YOU DO IT DENNIS...? HOW DO YOU CONSISTENTLY WRITE AND PERFORM POSITIVE UPLIFTING MUSIC THAT ALWAYS MAKES ME FEEL BETTER ABOUT MYSELF AND THE ENTIRE WORLD AROUND ME? HOW DO YOU DO IT, YOU MAGIC MAN.....
wish i knew, hes the best ever
The 80s were some of the best times of my life 😁
Dennis the man seen you 3 times and I’m only 12!
Thats pretty impressive!
One of my favorite DDY solo songs. Since Kobra Kai has blown up all things related to Karate Kid and it’s super popular right now maybe this video and song will get some new love!
Love this song. Actually heard it at a carnival last year. Completely surprised me.
Haven't heard this one in a long time, but I still remember the lyrics like it was yesterday. That is the mark of a great songwriter. Takes you right back to where you were when you first heard it, and the memories that it invokes.
That's the thing about Dennis's music. Even if you haven't heard one of his songs for YEARS... you can sing his lyrics without skipping a beat. Like you say... it's like you just heard it like it was yesterday.
I hear THAT voice and instantly go to a much happier place - - and time. Even NOW. BEST concert we have ever been to (his solo) a few years back... AMAZING showman, ultimate performer and music that hits your soul. TY Dennis.
best ever
Great song..I listen to it a lot. Dennis you should play some of these songs in your shows. Another one is Call Me..
agreed
What a surprise on this monday night. This brings back memories of my youth. Awesome.
Two words jump to mind as soon as I hear Dennis's vocal start up: Iconic & STYX. In that order.
Dennis, you will not remember this. But I met you and all the guys when you played the sock hops at Marist High School.
1969. You and I had many talks between sets.
can you tell us what he said?
Oh wow. I haven't heard this song in a long time. Love it!!!!!
best song ever
Best song on earth.
Dennis deyoung is the best
I love the beginning of this video. The rest of it is beautiful.
He deserves more subscribers he is awesome! 👍
Ah yes... the days of my youth, MTV and VH1. I remember this song 35 years later. If only I knew back then the things I know today.
I remember listening to this when I was a college student in Bloomington, IN! Thank you for posting this!
I was just thinking about how underrated Bill Conti's score for Karate Kid Part 2 is, especially during the scene when Daniel and Kumiko are performing the chanoyu (tea ceremony) just before the storm hit Tomi Village.
This song goes straight to the heart!
Taking me back Dennis ! Thank you for your music. Cheers from the Rockies of Utah.🍻
Thanks for sharing your gift from God Almighty with us Dennis!!! I appreciate you!!!😎🌈🕛🦊🔥
Glory of Love charted and had a lot of airplay back 1986 but, I'm surprised this song never had any airplay and I listened to the radio a lot then. This song is so underrated and the surprise appearance of my teen crush Tamlyn Tomita in the video is a topper.
Oh my gosh! It was your voice that made me love Styx. Your solo work is so great! Your voice gets into my soul and lifts me up! Pure talent❣️🙏
Please upload the music video for "Call Me"!!
Thank you Dennis....and "Hello" from Midlothian Illinois
Was Kimiko trying to hook up with Dennis behind Daniel-san's back? Why was Dennis in Japan? Looking for Mr. Roboto? :)
Great video! Thank you!
I'm not gonna lie, I would.
@@AwesomeSaucePictures Another reason why you are one of my top influencers! Your music and the topics you cover have given me much hope. I cannot wait to see you live in Wisconsin.
Dennis what a beautiful video. Pure magic to a 59 yr old dreamer.
I had always thought that this awesome song should’ve been included in the movie longer than just Daniel parking his car... Best song on that soundtrack album ! 😎
Love this song!! Thank You!!!!!!
The first song that kicks off possibly his greatest solo album. Find it and get it. You'll love it.
Thank you so much for posting these fantastic memories today. Dreary weather day with winter's first snow flurries needed some brightness.
Dennis, all I can say is thanks! You are Styx!
So happy to see the notification! I love this video💗
2023 e ainda é atemporal!

Great Tune, Great Singing. Reminds me of Cruising the Streets with My First Girlfriend...when FM Radio played all the latest hit songs. Thanks for posting Dennis!

Thank you Dennis for your talents! Appreciate your amazing songs!
Classic song meaningfull lyrics, brings back memories !!
What a voice!!!! Thanks for sharing! The dream match up: you and Steve Perry!!!
Incredible voice!
Always glad to hear from you Dennis!!!
Thanks Dennis, these songs have inspired me today and lifted my spirits ❤️
This is one of my FAVORITES! I assume it was written about you and Suzanne? My favorite line...”You never wanted any fortune or fame you said, baby just give me your heart. Now I’m telling you, without any shame, that you were right from the start.” That and the few lines that follow are, in my mind, the essence of your successful marriage. Your feet are squarely on the ground. Love this song!
One of my favorites! Thanks for posting!
Dennis, the opener reminded me that I once asked a waiter what a fly was doing in my soup - to which he replied after looking at it curiously - "I believe it's having a stroke sir." I'm just glad he didnt charge me for the extra meat, I'm loving this music video, bro! You're always awesome, with never a let down moment. Thumbz Up!
LOL. I think the punchline is "I believe he's doing the backstroke, Sir". But we know what you mean! LOL. Dennis is a legend!
LoL - I know how the joke goes, I just enjoy my own spin. ie, its doing the lambda sir. Or, it dying sir, etc. It keeps an old aging joke alive. 😄
@@ImTheDaveman Ahhh. GOTCHA! In that case.. CARRY ON, MY FRIEND!!! LOL.
Thanks for posting this to UA-cam this is one of my favorite Dennis DeYoung songs
❤️❤️❤️
I love this song so much! Keep posting, it makes our days so much better
Great song, Dennis! Amazing vocals! Thanks for sharing!
Haha, fun video! And I still know all the words, to all the songs, and the glory of your music, your lyrics and your voice is one of the treasures of my life. In my heart, in my soul forever. With deepest gratitude and purest love from Germany!🖖
Wow, never heard this song. Only one I ever did solo wise was desert moon.
Not bad.
Dennis - could you do a video on how much work you put into your voice - turning it into such a powerful instrument?
Song starts at 0:35 :D
This is kumiko in karate kid part 2 2:02
This should have been a big hit. Featured in a popular movie, very catchy and well written. I blame the record company for not promoting it. Much better than Desert Moon IMO and probably would have been a hit if on that album.
I loved desert moon.
this was awesome too
Was this song on the "Karate Kid Part II" soundtrack? I had no idea! I guess it got overshadowed by the more well-known Peter Cetera cut "Glory Of Love"...
This voice is a bit like Freddie Mercury - I love it!
styx is better than the good luck joes
