      I think what he meant by that is it’s not a good look if you step outside of your faith and beliefs and indulge in what they see as a sin, so for example if Kiki goes to see Beyoncé and she’s married to a minister, it’ll make the minister look bad, COGIC is EXTREMELY strict and religious with the rules lol

    God may have called a husband to preach, but did he call his wife to preach? I grew up with pastors. Unfortunately, some pastors stop dating their wives which leads to loneliness and resentment. Nobody wants their husband to preach all the time. There has to be some “fun” in the marriage.

    • @RubiPearl560
      @RubiPearl560 5 років тому +13

      I certainly agree. I've met alot of unhappy married church wives.. They look old and tired. I understand that we have to be spiritual, but I've even asked the question dang does he even love her anymore.. Because pastors get sooooo caught up with preaching and teaching that they forget that there has to be a connection and some sparks in their own relationships.. It's so sad. And it just seem like marriage is solely a contract we're a woman has to remain silent pushing her husbands dreams to fulfill his.

  • @CassandraChaPaul

    Married 23 years! I’m not married for church. We are individuals! Who have different interests. A lot of LEGALISM in this conversation. Love that you all can have these conversations tho!! Awesome!

    I love this convo between you and your uncle. Hearing his perspective on marriage is informative. He is actually the first man of his age that I've heard discuss the topic and me, as a married woman in my early 30's, need to hear/know/understand/consider the opinions of those who have done it before me, successfully. The beautiful thing about it all is that when God ordains a marriage, He will bless us with a spouse that shares some of our views on things. Just like he said, if your spouse is focused on making you happy in the way that truly makes you happy and not the way he wants to make you happy and if you are focused on making him happy in the same manner, everybody's love tank is being filled. It boils down to knowing your spouse, accepting them and loving them for who they are and not wanting to change them into the person you want them to become. Then we will know how they need to be loved.

    I’m a sophomore in high school now and I’m a good kid!!! Whether people see it or not, I’m talking to God and waking up every morning striving and praying to get closer and closer to my purpose, my destiny. A lot of people call me “godly” it used to affect me negatively in the beginning because I was always the one who “couldn’t do nothing bad” or was a “goody to shoes.” I was just made to feel like I didn’t fit in because I was following God while he wasn’t even on other peoples minds around me. I strayed away from God to prove myself to be able to fit in, but I’m back with God now and I don’t care what people will say. At the end of the day, I’m following God and only God. Those who will follow me, those who will be inspired to live Holy will make me feel great!! I still having fun and I do get tempted to step out of being saved when being with my friends, but God is holding me close and I’m striving to hold him even closer!! Pray for the journey that I’m on with following God in high school and being in this upcoming generation because it’s hard and a lot of people around me aren’t looking toward God, they’re living for themselves. It’s definitely a test from God to be isolated because a lot of people don’t understand this journey I’m on with God. It’s stereotypes to be “early” because I’m 16 but I’m not promised tomorrow, no one is. And God wants me now.

    I was a broken little girl who needed the love of a father so I was very promiscuous. You are so blessed to have such a strong family foundation and to be raised in the admonition of the lord. It’s so many things you have never had to fight against just by default because you had a daddy, no let me rephrase that A SAVED daddy. You are such a beautiful example for your generation.

    I don't think you should have to sacrifice your individuality in order to be one with your spouse. You shouldn't feel suffocated or deprived of who you are because you're married, and you're spouse shouldn't want you to feel that way. Not saying he does. But to each his own. That may work for their marriage. 🤷🏿‍♂️

    Luv, the word KiKi! Your uncle ministered to my soul today! I'm an older single lady and I learned something. I grew up without my father and my mother couldn't teach me things from a man's perspective. Your Uncle should minister to single men and women. Christian's need this so much because we're watching what the world is doing as far as dating and not what we are supposed to be doing!

    This was so good I'm not that young but you really touched up on some questions I had

    FANTABULOUS dialogue!!! Tell Uncle he didn’t answer the question “how do you know a man loves you”. I was trustworthy and very dependable. My friends called me “the mother” of the group. #sucked

      LaShonda LaShell he did answer it. He answer that question with 4 points. That were on point. You missed it. You might wanna go back in the replay and grab those points they were really great.

      Goal Diggah2k19 I understood that. Kierra asked 1. How do you know if a guy is interested 2. How do you know if he loves you. His response was those are different questions. After he gave the 4 points to know if a guy is interested Kierra asked the question about drinking wine and going to secular concerts.

    This is the type of wisdom that we woman need when looking for a man of purpose ! The last past really got me . About guarding your future man’s ministry . Because God sends a wife to a man of ministry knowing she is equipped for him to protect the ministry .. thank you Kierra ,
