I bought a Whirlpool freezer from Lowe’s. The freezer is fine (so far), however; between Lowe’s and Whirlpool themselves I’ve been offered an extended warranty six times. Are they that worried about my new freezer so much that they are obsessed with me covering it with an extended warranty? What kind of junk is Whirlpool selling?
Save your money. If you buy the extended warranty you'll never use it with a Whirlpool, especially a freezer which is the most trouble free appliance in the Whirlpool lineup. Now, if you were to buy "anything" made by Frigidaire or Samsung, you''ll probably use it. We manage residential properties, and this has been our hands on experience with these brands.
@@nomebear how's Hotpoint? Thinking of buying a Hotpoint dishwasher. There's so many dishwashers it's overwhelming. I want something decent but it seems like they're so expensive when you consider 850 to be a good price for a dishwasher that's crazy

We also bought top of the line Samsung refrigerator and dishwasher. The seals in the Samsung dishwasher motor failed in less than two years damaging a ceiling. We replaced it with a Frigidaire that has failed in less than two years (control board). Yesterday we purchased the Whirlpool with Made in America stamped on it. Now I've learned it takes 3.6 hours to wash a load. Hmmm what to buy?
@@nomebear I know how you feel. There doesn’t seem to be very many (if any) companies that are willing to make good products anymore. They make to much on repairs or just rebuys after 2 years. I bought an expensive Samsung French door refrigerator. It won’t make ice cubes and, instead, freezes up the internal fan which stops the refrigerator from cooling. I hate it! I wouldn’t even want one of their products for free because it’s just taking up space if it doesn’t work.
My father-in-law got a new Samsung fridge earlier this year. The ice maker quickly malfunctioned. They sent a repairman who replaced it and it didn't work so they tried again but it didn't work. So Samsung told him they would give him a full refund and he can keep the fridge without a warranty or working ice maker. He thought that was a good deal and took it since the refrigerator/freezer part works.
